      coach transfer to New York arriving at approximately 18:30.

    ◦ Sightseeing and shopping in New York
    ◦ At 17:00 we will take the coach to New York Liberty International Airport

   Tuesday 10 April
    ◦ Transfer back to Arboretum Street from Heathrow Airport. Our approximate
      return time will be approximately 13:30

    ◦ Passengers taking more than their baggage allowance will
      incur excess baggage charges
   The Mountaineer Inn – Stowe
   Days Inn – New York
    ◦   Rooms will be allocated based on four sharing two queen sized beds
    ◦   Please keep your rooms tidy
    ◦   Keep noise to a minimum – respect other guests
    ◦   Respect curfew times
    ◦   Keep valuables on your person or lock them inside your suitcase


    ◦ You must not leave the accommodation unless
      accompanied by a member of staff (or for an emergency
      evacuation)
   Groups will be based on ability and not friendships

   Ski instructors will decide if individuals need to move up or down a
    group

   Helmets will be compulsory

   Suitable clothing must be worn at all times
   Listen carefully to all instructions, ask if you are unsure about
    anything

   Respect the Ski Way Code

   Look out for each other – let your instructor know if you or
    someone else in your group is in difficulty or feels ill

   Make sure you keep any valuables such as money and a camera
    safe
Ski equipment will be provided when we arrive.
It’s important to wear the correct clothing to stay warm and safe in the snow. If we do not
think that you are dressed appropriately we will ask you to change.

         Ski jacket
                                                                           Base layer
Waterproof and windproof,
 with a hood and pockets.                                                Not cotton, as it
                                                                         doesn’t let out
                                                                            moisture.
                                                                         Synthetic layers
                                                                            are best.


                                                                             Mid layer
                                                                         This is what will
                                                                         keep you warm.
                                                                          Fleece or hoody
                                                                             is ideal.
                                   Ski trousers
                            Waterproof and windproof,
                              able to fit over boots.
Gloves                                                              Ski socks
    Gloves are best for                                           Only ever wear one pair of socks

   Do not interrupt ski instructors and staff

   Be polite

   Behaviour contract
   Variety of evening activities both at the hotel and also close to the resort

   All other evening activities will be organized in resort based on availability.
    Options will include:
         Visit to Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream factory visit
         Sleigh ride in the mountains
         Firework Display
         Quiz in the hotel
         Disco
         Cinema

   Remember that you must be in groups of four at
    all times when remotely supervised
   8 April 2012

    ◦   Evening meal in a Time Square Restaurant


   9 April 2012
    ◦ Pre-arranged sightseeing
    ◦ Some shopping time – remote supervision for a limited
      time period
    ◦ Coach to the airport
   Money
    ◦ Pupils tend to spend all money they are given. Your daughters will need
      enough to buy lunch every day. A little money in sterling will also be
      needed for the journey to buy refreshments.

   Documents
    ◦ Passports will be collected in. The information booklet provided
      contains important details about the trip.
    ◦ Up-to-date medical consent forms required closer to departure.

   Preparation
    ◦ Snowdome, Tamworth: 08705 000011
    ◦ Optional but lessons will save at least one day on the
      slopes and will result in a quicker rate of progress.

  • 15. Money ◦ Pupils tend to spend all money they are given. Your daughters will need enough to buy lunch every day. A little money in sterling will also be needed for the journey to buy refreshments.  Documents ◦ Passports will be collected in.
