Description: Coalnet application is a web based integrated application software. It is an ERP project for
Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) subsidiary of Coal India. The Coalnet manages all the modules, process
and functionalities of the Northern Coalfields Limited. It has different modules like Personal Information
System, Payroll Processing, Financial Information System etc. The HRD, Recruitment, Transfer, Promotion,
Employee Information, Salary Information are kept in Personnel, employee salary computation, pay slip
generation is done through Payroll System, all vouchers and Cheque are generated online through the
Finance System. Daily transactions of Coal India Limited are made through this integrated system.
This system is completely integrated as every related module is logically connected with the other and the
data are passed between modules.
CoalNet Application is developed using the latest industry standard multi-tier architecture using Java
based J2EE technology with Oracle 10g as DBMS.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 To customize our product for satisfy Client’s requirement, includes changes in the existing codes
for adding new functionalities.
 Designing/ creating new reports using Oracle reports according to the user requirements.
 Client interaction, This includes interacting with client understating the requirements, getting the
required data in the format as needed in the CoalNet, verification, formatting and then loading
them into the database. Changes required if any in the database/package.
 Giving Support from backend as well as from front end to the clients according to the
requirements.
 Testing each and every functionality from start to end to check whether it’s fulfilling the client
needs.
