This document discusses an employee's rights when returning to work from maternity leave in the UK. It covers:
1) Employees have the right to take up to 52 weeks of maternity leave, consisting of 26 weeks of ordinary maternity leave and 26 weeks of additional maternity leave.
2) Employees must give notice if they intend to return to work before the end of their maternity leave period.
3) Upon return, employees are entitled to return to the same or a similar job, unless it is not reasonably practical to do so.
