8. NCCAP Requirements AAC Track 2 A. ACADEMIC EDUCATION High school diploma or GED, PLUS 6 college credits (must include an English and 1 other course from the required coursework areas). B. ACTIVITY EXPERIENCE 4,000 hours within past 5 years. C. CONTINUING EDUCATION 20 clock hours (Body of Knowledge) within past 5 years. Track 3 A. ACADEMIC EDUCATION High school diploma or GED, PLUS the 90-Hour Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part 1. (C.C.1-11) B. ACTIVITY EXPERIENCE 2,000 hours within past 5 years. C. CONTINUING EDUCATION 20 clock hours (Body of Knowledge) within past 5 years. Activity Assistant Certified (AAC) ACTIVITY ASSISTANT CERTIFIED (AAC): One who meets NCCAP standards to assist, with supervision, in carrying out an activity program. Track 1 A. ACADEMIC EDUCATION 30 college semester credits (must include an English PLUS 1 other course from B, C, and D of the required coursework areas). B. ACTIVITY EXPERIENCE 2,000 hours within past 5 years. C. CONTINUING EDUCATION 20 clock hours (Body of Knowledge) within past 5 years.

9. NCCAP Requirements AAPC Copy of your High School Diploma or GED Copy of the certificate of completion from the MEPAP Part One (Core Competencies 1-11) 50 clock hours of volunteer/experience in the delivery of activities services 1.Original letter of verification from your supervisor 2.Must be submitted on facility letterhead and be the original 20 clock hours of continuing education from the NCCAP Body of Knowledge 1.Copies of certificates 2.Copies of the transcripts or letter from Guidance Counselor of verification of AP or Honors Classes AAC/AAPC Certification! This is the only certification available for Activity Assistants. NCCAP recognizes the contributions as well as the professionalism of those who are Activity Professionals. To be certified as an Activity Assistant you have the ability to inform potential employers that you have the skills to plan, implement and evaluate a comprehensive activity program that meets the needs and interests of that particular resident population You also have the option to Specialize in Memory Care, Assisted Living, Adult Day Care and as an Educator.

10. AAC/AAPC Costs AAC/AAPC Opportunities MEPAP Course (Prices Vary $400-$1200) Initial Certification ($60.00) Renewal Fee every 2 years ($45.00) Continuing education 20 Clock Hours (approximately $10.00 per hour for continuing education) Opportunity to Level Change to ADPC/ADC or ACC You must maintain your certification to level change ($45.00) You can keep your AAC/AAPC as long as you renew every two years

ACADEMIC EDUCATION Associates Degree (including English PLUS 5 other courses, with at least 1 course from B, C, and D of the coursework areas). ...AND... B. ACTIVITY EXPERIENCE 6,000 hours within past 5 years. ...AND... C. CONTINUING EDUCATION 30 clock hours (Body of Knowledge) within past 5 years. D. MEPAP Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals (MEPAP). Track 3 A. ACADEMIC EDUCATION 60 college semester credits (must include English PLUS 5 other courses, with at least 1 course from B, C, and D of the required coursework areas). ...AND... B. ACTIVITY EXPERIENCE 6,000 hours within past 5 years. ...AND... C. CONTINUING EDUCATION 30 clock hours (Body of Knowledge) within past 5 years. D. MEPAP Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals (MEPAP).

13. NCCAP ADPC Track 4 You can apply for Track 4 if you have 3 of the 5 components. So if you are missing the MEPAP class, but have the other three components, then you can apply for ADPC. Upon completion of the MEPAP you can then apply for a level change. A. ACADEMIC EDUCATION 1. 90-Hour Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part 1 (C.C.1-11) and the 90-Hour Practicum (Basic Education Course). * 2. 90-Hour Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals Part 2 (C.C.12-20) and 90-Hour Practicum (Advanced Management Course). * 3. 12 semester college credits (cannot include #1 and #2 (must include an English PLUS 1 other required coursework area)). ...AND... B. ACTIVITY EXPERIENCE 4. 6,000 hours activity experience within the past 5 years. ...AND... C. CONTINUING EDUCATION 30 clock hours (Body of Knowledge) within past 5 years. * MEPAP 2nd Edition is core content 1-20.

14. NCCAP ADPC NCCAP is the only certification option that lets activity professionals work toward their ADC. You have 6 years to complete the missing components You have the ability to Specialize in a chosen specialization while you are an ADPC You can level change at any time to ADC or ACC You renew your certification every two years
