2. Identifying entry points for NAP-NDC linkages
Example: Identifying
converging objectives of the
NAP and NDC to demonstrate
the benefits of linking the two
processes

funding for implementation of one or more
policy processes by mapping financing
opportunities for integrated implementation

3. STEP 1: Brainstorming
Working in your country groups,
brainstorm what are 2-3 milestones you
want to achieve related to linking your
NAP process with your NDC.
For example, consider:
• Our discussion on challenges and opportunities
• Policy cycle
• Stakeholder engagement processes and
institutional arrangements
• Monitoring and reporting
• Financial resources

4. STEP 2: Identify next steps for each
milestone, identify 2-3 concrete actions
you could take to move toward achieving
this milestone
Example:
Milestone: Shared objectives and areas of focus across the
NAP process and the NDC are identified.
Actions:
• Hold a meeting to bring together lead agencies for
adaptation and NDC implementation to discuss shared
objectives and strategies
• Identify common cross-cutting issues, such Linking
national and sub-national planning and action and

• Establish ongoing coordination mechanism between
agencies
