As a Christian Business Personnel You must exploit your Potential on:
Being able to See a Problem , a need or a challenge in Humanity.
This is the Starting Point. All businesses today are either Solving a problem,
Fulfilling a need, or dealing with a challenge with a challenge facing Human
beings. After the Fall Of Adam and Eve; God saw a need of Forgiveness and the
washing of Sins. He looked at Adam and Eve and saw their Need of Mercy and
Grace. You have to see a need, a problem, or a challenge! Thats the Starting
Point.
Being Able to Conceive a Business Idea
After seeing the Need, a problem, or a challenge, its time to conceive a business
idea,to Meet the need, Solve the problem, or Deal with the Challenge seen in Point
one above. The need, the problem, and the challenge seen above must arouse
enough passion in you to conceive a business idea correstponding what you saw.
God did not stop at only seeing the need for Mercy and Cleansing of Sin from Adam
and Eve predicament! What He saw disturbed His Heart to an extent His Heart was
moved by compassion. The Compassion gave birth to a passion which gave birth to
a Business Idea of Bringing Salvation to Humanity.
Flowing From Your Heart
Most christian business men and women are running businesses which have no
origin from their hearts! No wonder they are Mediocre. What you see must be
strong enough to trigger a Spiritual, psychological, emotional from your heart,
from which a business idea is born.
Anything that you will do on earth to serve the people of God a Business so to
speak must have originated from your Heart.
Proverbs 4:23 "Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you
guard, for out of it flow the springs of life."
Your Business thrives through Interactions and transactions with men and women
created by God in His own Image and Likeness. Its imperative that your Heart is in
it, because God Himself interacts with us through our hearts from His Heart.
From Proverbs 4:23, the Message is that Your Business must be a spring flowing
from the Heart, so that its impact would be felt in the Hearts of your customers.
Thats what God expects from You!

2. When its from your heart you will be conscious that God is watching your heart to
judge your motives, character, Interests. as you sell your goods and offer the
services from your business. [1st Samuel 16:7b..... "For man looketh on the
outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
Your business is blessed by God depending on what he sees in your heart.
An Attitude Of Selflessness:
A christian Business Personnel is driven by the desire to see customers accrue
benefits from the business before He/She can consider the Returns made from
Customers. It should be how much utility is in the products, and services Your
business is offering to the customers. You should be asking How much value the
customer is getting before considering How much profit your business is making.
God was consumed by the desire to see man (male and female) benefit from the
free salvation He was bringing. Never did he consider what He would get in return
while He was building on the Idea of Salvation to all men. Isnt't amazing!..." For
God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son..."John 3:16. He was
moved by selflessness, considering our benefit Before His own.
Compassion&Passion.
Whatever God was determined to do humans in the process of Salvation, he did it
out of compassion through passion. God's desire to see the liberation of humans
from the bondage of sin, was so strong that what looked like obstacles were
opportunities to Him to achieve His goal. Its love that motivated God into action...
" For God so loved [desired the best for us, Jeremiah 29:11]...He did not allow the
Cost of producing Salvation..derail His Desire to see a generation of men and
women free from the jaws of Sin. Whatever challenge He met in the process, He
saw it in the Light of Love.
You can be sure, if God treated the need of Salvation for men and women with
such zeal and passion, He would not expect a less standard than what He show
cased.
Are you passionate about meeting the needs of Your customers? What drives you to

The Business Personality
Three factors that determine the existence of a business enterprise are:
 The Entrepreneur[Business Man or Woman]
 The Business Entity[the Goods or Services]
 The Customer.
Out of the three, the interaction between the customer and the Entrepreneur, is
the major determinant of success or failure in any business.
For simplicity i will call the interactions as relationship. How should a business man
or woman relate with their customer?
A common salient feature in a business man(male&female), is that they are all
triune beings; they have are a spirit, they have a soul, mind, will and Emotions]
and they live in a body called the flesh.

3. Any meaningful symbiotic relationship between the Customer and the Business
person has to sincerely involve the triune aspect of both of them. When I was
looking at what the bible says about relationship, i was led to Galatians 5:23,
where it highlights the fruit of the Holyspirit which must be expressed by every
believer of Christ.
While studying scripture I discovered that the fruit of the Spirit is actual the
Interpersonal Skills which a christian operating a business can use for the success
of the Interpersonal relations with the customer.
1. UPENDO
This is the Highest esteem which God has for his humanity and the highest regard
which they in in turn should have for Him and other people. If you a believer
running a business, you are under obligation to handle your customers with Love.
Imagine of your customers as the image and likeness of God! Would you handle
God the same way if he once stood before you as a customer? what value do you
attach to them?. While demonstrating love God gave His best to the undeserving
sinners!..."His only begotten son.
Do you sell the best goods, or offer the best service to your customers?. Do you
imagine that they are human like you are and sometimes they need you to care
enough before they can care to purchase from your business?You can start
practicing Love today, give your customers the best attention, your best time, the
best goods, the best service! ...I have gone to a green grocer, and when i gave her
the privilege of choosing tomatoes and greens, all i saw her do is pick for me
tomatoes which had began to spoil, over ripe bananas, greens that had started to
wither!.
I have been to a hotel or restaurant and when i ordered food, what was brought
was left offers, that had pieces of stones in them. At one time I ordered food then
what was brought was cold food. I can't also forget the many instances that I went
to a hotel and i was served with stale food! Now is that love? Did the Business
woman demonstrate concern?Now you can also remember doing that to your
customers right?
We don't always chose the best for our customers, yet we want to get the best
from them. We charge them very high prices for goods and services that are not
commensurate to the value in them. Next time you are serving your customers
remember you are actual serving God. The Bible says whatever you do to the least
of my brothers, that you do unto me..[Mathew 25:40]. If you ever sell poor quality
products to your customers, you are doing that to God, and you will stand to give
an account.If as a business man you will demonstrate love in your relationship with
your customers, you will attract them to your business and they will give whatever
value of money because they know they will get nothing but the best from you.

4. Its your personality that customers interact with first before you can make a sale
of your products and offer services to them. As the saying goes.. ' the first
impression dies hard! As a christian business person you don't give the impression
like you are carrying the whole world on your shoulders! You should express great
delight, and gladness of heart as you serve your customers. Let you facial
expression be that of joy, because it will attract customers to your shop.Without
God's joy operating in your personality as a business man, things will begin to dry
up in your business. You will soon become very irritated by very trivial matters and
things. before you realize you will start to express the irritation in your
conversation with your customers. Nothing will be fun anymore. Everything you
have been doing with passion and interest will start to become a tiring and boring
chore. Such disposition will repel away customers from your shop, and final you
will not have anyone to sell or serve.The joy of the Lord is what can really give you
an incredible surge of strength in your daily transactions and interactions with your
customers and your fellow business men and women even when you are to take
really tough situations. Its the joy of the Lord that will enable you to handle a
negative situation involving a customer positively.

While running your business, there is no guarantee that things will be smooth!
There will be tough and rough seasons sandwiched between the great times. It is
during such times, that the a state of tranquility in your soul [mind, will and
Emotions] will be indispensable, because the decisions you will make and the
actions you will take will either brake or make your business. For a christian
entrepreneur, this ability is available in abundance from the Holy spirit. If you can
let Him unleash this peace through your personality, success in your business is
guaranteed. A state of peace in your heart and mind allows you to see the bigger
picture so that decisions you make in critical times will be focused on realizing
what you saw. "Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the
joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:2].Jesus Christ while running
the business of His father, bringing salvation to all men, had tough and rough
seasons! He endured times of shame, hatred, rejection, mockery, before the
business became an eternal success!During all these times, its the bigger picture
[seeing human souls redeemed and reconciled to His Father], that helped him
interpret every situation in the right perspective. in many instances the human
understanding wanted Him to revenge when reviled, but the Peace of God took the
ultimate control of him, and Love and mercy was His response to His revilers.
A christian business man does not lean on his/her own understanding as they
transact their businesses, his reliance is on God who promises to teach him/her
how to make profit in the Business. [Isaiah 48:17] Peace of mind is a prerequisite if
you will hear God relaying His perfect will in any situation in your business that
needs a decision to be made. God's perfect will for your business is that you
profit...'The LORD will open to you his good treasury [a spring of wisdom], the
heavens, to give the rain [great ideas] to your land [your business] in its season
and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but
you shall not borrow. Duet 28:12.

5. Peace that is released by His Holy spirit, must thus dwell in you richly so that you
are always connected to hear Him when He is telling you the right action and
decision to take and make respectively. This is peace is the one which surpasses all
human understanding. When you lean on your human understanding to make
decisions in your business you will cause it to crumble. But with the peace of God
indwelling your heart and mind you, God's wisdom will override your human
understanding and you will find yourself making the right and timely decision.
Human understanding will always have a disturbing effect on your mind, in the
face of challenges in the business. You need the Peace of God, to run your business
effectively and profitable.
4. KINDNESS [UTU WEMA]
Kindness means sweetness of disposition and gentleness in dealing with others. It
also means the ability to act for the welfare of those taxing your patience.In your
business you will have to handle difficult customers who will test your patience,
with their incessant complaints and criticism. Kindness will give you the capacity
to accommodate their negative emotions and change them into positive ones. With
it you can turn one of your most difficult and trouble some customer into your
most loyal and instrumental business marketer. This ability is available in the Holy
Spirit indwelling you, you only need to allow the ability to flow and respond to
such customers with tenderness."I have learned silence from the talkative,
toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am
ungrateful to those teachers."
5. FADHILI [
This is another ability that the HolySpirit releases to a christian entrepreneur.
When in operation in the personality of an entrepreneur, he/she cannot even begin
to try and use, or manipulate the customers for selfish gains. On the contrary they
are trustworthy, and many customers are drawn to them because they feel safe
doing business with them. Goodness makes a entrepreneur keep the promises
he/she makes to their customers, whether its concerning the services or the
products they deal with.Another aspect of goodness, is that of dependability! A
customer is assured of quality service and goods on a consistent basis.Are
