 Al Baraka (Pakistan) Limited (ABPL) came into being as a result of the
first merger in the Islamic Banking sector of Pakistan.
 The merger took place between the branch operations of Al Baraka
Islamic Bank (AIB) Bahrain, Al Baraka Islamic Bank Pakistan (AIBP)
and Emirates Global Islamic Bank (Pakistan), and thus from 1
November 2010, the operations of the merged entity began.
 Al-Baraka Islamic Bank is a member of Al-Baraka Banking Group
(ABG) which is a Bahraini Joint Stock Company listed on Bahrain and
Dubai stock exchanges and one of the well-known leading international
Islamic banks and has been operating in the country as branches of Al-
Baraka Islamic Bank Bahrain since 1991.

Banking:
 For Islamic financial system, Al Baraka Bank compliance with the rules
and principles of Islamic Shariah is the core of the banking and
financial activities and its philosophy.
 All its banking activities are very closely regulated by a Board of
Shariah Advisors based at the Head Office in Bahrain and a Shariah
Advisor based in Pakistan.

Present Status in Pakistan:
 With assets, more than Rs.120 billion; a workforce of over 2800
professionals and a network of 224 branches in 100 cities and
towns across Pakistan, Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited is
devoted in providing customers with a range of Shariah
compliant products to suit their banking needs.Currently there
are 11,458 employees working at different branches of Al –
Baraka Islamic at Pakistan.
 The authorized capital of ABG is US$ 1.5 billion; asset base of
US$ 24 billion and total equity of US$ 2.1 billion. The group has
Banking units and representative offices in 15 countries
spanning from Europe to MENA and Asia, with a network
exceeding 775 Branches.

AlB provide the facilities of car Ijarah/leasing to his customer. AlB
provided fund up to 4 million to his customer for the period of 2 to 5
year. No interest concept is involved, therefore profit margin is not
announced before transaction finance on the concept of asset based
financing. Therefore no chance of default for bank.

Union Pay is accepted in more than 140 countries across the
globe.

 The ABPL’s phone Banking center is equipped with cutting edge
technology and skilled Phone Banking Officers who help you with your
queries and transactions 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
