FLAG MEANINGS:
 On the Italian flag the 3 colours all mean something
 Green means Hills
 White means mountains
 Red means Blood
 Italians are very fond of their flag because it is part of
their culture
School
days
 September marks the end of the holiday season in Italy.
Children go to school from the age of 6 to 16. Their
education system is divided into 5 stages:
 Kindergarten
 Primary school
 Lower secondary school
 Upper secondary school
 college
Daily
schedule
 School lessons start during the second week of
September and finish around the second week of June.
Food in
Italy
 Italy is mostly known for its amazing tourist attractions
but its also known for its delicious food such as: Pizza,
pasta, lasagna and Gelato(ice-cream)
Italian
family life
 Italians are warm and welcoming people who love to
relax and spend time with family and friends. Family is
very important to the Italian people. Most children tend
to stay with their parents untill adulthood. Most adults
tend to have between only 1 to 2 children, because
they say that this is enough.
Italian Traditional
clothes
Italians traditional clothes would definitely catch your eye.
Girls usually wear long dresses and an apron over the
front. Boys wear a waistcoat type jacket, white shirt and
boots designed for men, and sometimes a hat. These type
of clothes are only worn for special occasions, every other
day they would wear the same type of clothes we would.
The Folk Dance
The Traditional
Folk Dance
The Italian Folk Dance is the traditional dance of Italy.
People believe that the dance helps to cure sickness. It is
unlucky to dance the tarantella (the folk dance) alone so it
is often danced by couples or by 2 women.

type of names you would hear everyday. They are
unusual but nice.
