- I’d like to first start off with a bit of a history lesson. Risk Management Departments have obviously been a part of the health care organization for a very long time, however, what I want to discuss is how the role of the Risk Management Department has changed in recent times.
- As I am sure many of you are aware, most health care organizations had plans in place to react to incidents within the facility. And, generally when an incident took place in Radiology, for instance, it was Radiology who handled the issue.
