GRATITUDE
Teacher, I am most thankful and grateful to have these few
people in my life. They have helped me to overcome numerous
adversities. These people are my family, my friends and my foes.
First, I am forever indebted to my family especially to
my parents, which without whom I would not be alive today. My
parents are always there for support and security. They are my
pillar of strength. Whenever there are any kinds of problems in my
in my life, whether it is going over a breakup or a bad performance
in an examination, my parents are always beside me and it is much
easier to face all the difficulties in life with their care and love. My
parents handled my wrongdoings and mistakes very calmly, although
3. I can’t remember doing something that’s very bad. Once, I was
called to the Principal’s office because of my failing grades. I saw
my parents were there listening attentively to the Principal. I was
scared that I had disappointed them but when they looked at me, I
could see only love in their eyes. My dad patted my back and Mom
held my hands as I sat next to her. They felt warm. I knew then
that they love me, not because of what I can do or what I can be.
Of course, I was grounded for two weeks after that and I have to
work on my grades after school but it is all done out of love- their
love for me. They discipline me but never hide the real world from
me which makes me who I am today- a person who has what it
takes to brave the world. Much to say, without these two very
important people in my life, I could not have made it.
Second, I depend a lot on my friends. Life would be difficult
without them. Friendships validates one’s existence! No one can
4. deny that. Having one that you can count on is a blessing. Sports
day was a nightmare for me without friends who had cheered
me up at the finishing line when I finished last. They are the spirit
booster even to a loser. Yes, they made fun of me but at the end
we had a good laugh about it. Friends are especially important
during times of crisis and turbulence. Studies are hard for me. I
struggled with calculations. I am not good with numbers. However,
my good friends would accompany me until the wee of night to help
me do my homework. They helped me to stay awake with their jokes
and stories. I also rely on them on many other important things like
fashion. I could be a fashion victim without their relentless
critiques and comments on the way I dress or worse, a fashion
nerd! Therefore, thank you friends for being there when I need all
of you the most.
5. Third, believe it or not, I would like to thank my foes. They
are my checks and balance. No matter how honest my friends are,
but they will avoid criticizing me as much as they can. But when it
comes to enemies, they will leave no stone unturned. For a moment
it hurts me, but it is beneficial to a great extent. Thanks to them I
can learn how to handle criticism. And just because I cannot afford
a defeat from my enemies, I work very hard, and put in my 500% in
what I am doing. I will do the work like never before, so that no one
can criticize me again. Here I can say that my enemies make me
more resilient and more determined to prove that they are wrong.
In a way I can become a better version of myself because of
them. Even though I do not welcome them in my life, but they have
pushed me to give my all and for that I would like to thank them.
6. To conclude, life is about learning and appreciating. That is
what I have been doing. I have learned many things from my family
and my friends, and not to forget, my foes. I appreciate their.
presence in my life and I hope they feel the same way about me
too.
