2. Looking out the kitchen window this Eve,As I washed the dirty dishes I sawA wee robin perched high upon a branch of an apple tree. Standing there I watched in total awe.

3. The robin fed it's hungry young ones,Chirping hungrily upon the nest on queue.And as I stood watching in my kitchenI couldn't think of a lovelier view.

4. As I dried my dishes with my clothI pondered how God in His infinite wisdomMade such a wondrous bird sans flaws.Yet man has the sinew to shoot it with a gun.Like the Mother robin upon that apple tree,Life is a wholesome gift that God gave you and me.Mary Aris ©2010
