Experience in material handling equipment (cranes, forklifts,trucks…..)

JOB FUNCTION
The Drilling Logistics Supervisor, as part of the Projects, Drilling & Exploration
Procurement group, has overall responsibilities to serve as the Client's contact for
providing logistical and materials management services and support for its ongoing
business, including affiliates where no local services organization or infrastructure
exists. Manages the day-to-day logistical business, including, but not limited to,
implementing logistics strategies, supervising drilling logistics contractor staff, material
control functions, inventory management, and coordinating material movements to
offshore or onshore rig locations. The drilling logistics supervisor works under the day to
day direction of the Drilling Operations Superintendent.
Responsibilities and duties include:
Supervises supply base/warehouse operations including movement of materials
and equipment, personnel, supply vessels/trucks, and aircraft to maintain a consistent
level of logistics and procurement support of international drilling activities.
Primary contact with custom officials and freight forwarding companies for
import/export clearance of materials and equipment. Maintains appropriate import/export
records and required documentation for internal and regulatory requirements.
Assists with contract tendering exercises for supply base/warehouse facilities,
marine vessels, aviation (fixed and rotary wing), stevedoring, and custom-clearing agents
Maintain performance-tracking records of supply base operations and logistics
source contracts as a tool for efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities.
Supervise, train, mentor and develop skill sets of national logistics and materials
management personnel from start-up to affiliate stage of operations.
Ensures that logistics operations are in conformance with all l environmental,
health, safety, and security requirements: actively supports and participates in the SH&E
Management system
Gain alignment with Drill Team on base business service’s needs, objectives and
requirements.
Comply with local in-country regulations, and PSC/JOA requirements
Assure compliance with DOAG, Controls, and OIMS standards and
requirements
Periodically perform internal assessment to assure compliance with controls
Manage and report effectiveness for logistics managed activities

WORKING EXPERIENCE:
Feb 2011 - present: Logistics Coordinator at ExxonMobil’s Vung Tau Shorebase
(secondee contractor)
Key responsibilities/ Duties:
- Preparing storage plan at warehouse at open yard;
- Monitoring the storage, inventory of materials/equipment at shorebase;
- Checking and receiving oil-well materials/equipment at shorebase;
- Supporting to manage logistics operation at shorebase, such as: liaising with contractors/
vendors to identify the received/returned cargoes, liaising with marine supply boats,
arranging (booking) forklifts/cranes & manpower then coordinating the load/offload
operation;
- Supporting the QA/QC team at Vung Tau shorebase in terms of logistics operation;
- Preparing manifest for materials/equipment sending to Da Nang shorebase and to
offshore rig;
- Arranging transportation of materials/equipment between Vung Tau, Da Nang shorebases
and offshore
- Preparing daily & monthly report on logistics work and inventory to Logistics Supervisor
and Drilling Team.
