What is Internet Of Things?
Internet of Things (IoT) is next big disrupter in theTechnology space.
IoT involves three basic steps viz
Data Capture
Data Processing
Data Action in Time
IoT means devices that can sense aspects of the real world- like
temperature, lighting, the presence or absence of people or objects,
etc. It then reports the real world data or acts on it.
In the simplest words, “It is everything that is connected.”
3. 3
It should send some sensory data like pressure, temperature
humidity, etc.
It should have unique identification so that it will get identified while
communicating.
It should communicate with similar itself and internet gateway as
well like WiFi.
To become a "THING" of Internet of thing anything should qualify following
criteria :
6. Interest Areas: Big Data with IoT in HealthCare
6
− If given an Internship in this area I would like to work on Big Data
Analytics of data extracted from healthcare devices and wearables.
− Big Data with IoT is unique because it has broad applicability
extending beyond this use case,
as outlined in the “Scope”
− In Healthcare, remote health monitoring will
provide health care providers to accelerate their
IoT solution design and development.
− Key impact of the health care use cases will be to improve customer
care/health and reduce costs for health plans/providers.
− I would like to innovate this area by adding pervasive analytics
capabilities and real time analytics to the solution where not only
providers but patients and doctors will get real time alerts.
