2. What made you want to be a part of Qatar Foundation?
Qatar Foundation (QF) is one of the best organizations in the world, with a
special focus in the fields of education, science and research, and
community development. An establishment that thrives on unlocking
human potential, it focuses on training its employees and believes in
enhancing their work capabilities through training, workshops, and
conferences. QF in turn benefits through the employee’s services, which
consequently helps in achieving QF’s vision to transform Qatar to a
knowledge-based economy. I am proud to be part of such an institution.
How is QF Operations contributing to Qatar National Vision 2030?
In my view, QF Operations is the nerve center of QF’s vision, which is in
sync with Qatar National Vision 2030. Through applying well enhanced IT
processes and simplified procurement systems throughout QF, QF
Operations helps all of QF’s departments and centers achieve their goals
easily and smoothly.
What about the IT field excites you the most?
What I enjoy most about my role as an IT professional is being exposed to
the latest technologies, both in software and hardware, in this ever-
changing era of modern technology.
What do you see as your greatest achievement so far?
One of the biggest achievements I have had so far is implementing the e-
Procurement system throughout QF, which transformed QF from paper
based purchasing to a fully automated process.
What do you like best about living and working in Qatar?
I must say that I love the people of this country, and their rich culture and
heritage.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy flying in light aircrafts, as I truly love aviation.
What motivational quote do you try to live by?
Two quotes by Albert Einstein that have had a massive impact in my life,
especially in my career, are: “The only source of knowledge is
experience.” and “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it
well enough.”
What is your favorite place in Education City and why?
My favorite place in Education City is the LAS building, as its architecture
is very inspirational, mixing the modern style with an oriental one.

Away from the workplace, what do you usually do to unwind?
During weekends, I usually go out with my close friends, where we spend
some quality time and in my free time, I prefer to read and explore more
about Aviation.
