“In the pathway of the sun” : I think that symbolizes that the sun is always upon them.
“In the footsteps of the breeze” : That probably symbolizes them having to go through the breeze.
“ Where the world and the sky are one” : Most likely she is refering to the sunset and sunrise. When your on the ocean it looks like the world and sky are one.
“He shall ride the silver seas” : He is on a ship in the ocean fighting the seas.
“He shall cut the glittering wave” : His ship is cutting through the sparkling and glittering waves.
“I shall sit at home, and rock” : She is sitting at home probably nervously waiting for his return.
“Rise, to heed a neighbor’s knock” : She felt most likely similar to how our soldier’s families feel awaiting the knock on their door that tells them their soldier wont be coming home.
“Brew my tea, “ : She just sits around waiting an brewing tea.
“…and snip my thread” : She sews and fixes everything.
“Bleach the linen for my bed” : She does laundry, anything to keep her mind off of her (most likely) husband.
“ They will call him brave” : Everyone else will call her brave, she thinks he is brave but she would rather have him home.
