by number, person and tense.

7. There are various types of nonfinite verbs
1. Infinitive
2. Gerund
3. Participle

8. (To+ present form of verb ) is called infinitive. It works like a noun.
1. Subject of a verb : To walk is good for health
2. Object of a verb : I like to walk.
3. Tells about a noun : This is a chair to sit.
4. Tells about an adjective:
I am glad to meet you.

9. 1. Subject of a verb : Walking is good for health
2. Object of a verb : I like walking
3. Tells about a noun : This is a sitting chair .
4. Tells about an adjective:
I am glad meeting you.
Gerund : (Present form of verb + ing) works like a noun is called
Gerund.
