In order to provide educators and administrators who provide quality education for our
students it is imperative that we staff professionals that are the best in their field of work.
This applies to onsite teachers, virtual teachers, school leaders, success coaches and all
personnel staffed with the school. We understand that to continue to lead and offer the
best in Blended Learning, we have to have a formula that allows us as professionals to
continue to grow and learn. With technology changing so rapidly each day, Nexus strives
to always be three steps ahead. For this reason it is required that all staff members attend
series of online as well as offsite trainings. To ensure that we provide personnel of high
standard, each team member is evaluated twice a year. The staff member and two
supervisors participate in the evaluation. This allows not only the immediate managers of
the employee to produce feedback and constructive criticism but it also offers an
opportunity for self-evaluation and reflection. The responses of all parties are gathered in
a report and this report is discussed face to face to praise excellent service and determine
the areas in which we need to grow. A plan is implemented to continue to be successful.
All of this is evidenced in our Performance Evaluation Guide, Professional Development
and Training Log and the example of an actual evaluation report that was provided.
