 Steel & Industrial Forgings Limited (SIFL) is an AS 9100 C:2009101 & ISO 900112008
certified, Public Sector Undertaking fully owned by Government of Kerala, incorporated in
1983 and started commercial production in 1986. Masters in Titanium and Special alloy
forgings, SIFL manufactures around 900 different components ranging from complex and high
precision Aerospace forgings, Specialized Forgings for Defence, Heavy Forgings for
Commercial vehicles, Railways and other components.
 Worked at Production Planning & Control (PPC) department as PPC Engineer under Apprentices
(Amendment) Act 1973, which is the core department of the company. As a PPC Engineer, my
main task was the preparation of Production and dispatch plans in consultation with other
sections to meet customer requirements and to monitor/coordinate the activities for optimum
achievement. 

Achievements
 Revived the complete systems and formats in PPC dept. that helped save valuable time and
increase output.
 Achieved the planned dispatch target of value 55 million INR for the month of November 2013.
Dispatch Value increased by 103% than previous month.
 Achieved the planned Production target of value 51 million INR for the month of December
2013. Value increased by 82% than previous month.
 Achieved the planned production target of 63 million INR and dispatch target of 62 million INR
for the month of January 2014. Value increased by 15% than previous month.
 Achieved production value of 77 million INR and dispatch value of 68 million INR for the month
of March 2014. Value increased by 22% than previous month.
 Highest production ever since the beginning of the company, was achieved in the month of
March 2014 by coordinating the movement of parts and materials within the establishment and
by ensuring that supplies, materials and products are shipped and received on schedule.
