Working with well-known and established pharmaceutical company Abbott Laboratories as
Assistant Manager Finance. My role involves managing the DSO goal, keep Control and stream line
the daily operations.
• Enforce credit policy to control credit for DSO goal achievement, analysis of customer’s
trend and provides recommendations for further supplies to customer, ensure the reduced
risk in operations and bad debts.
• Supervise the collection of payments from customer to ensure no revenue leakage occurs.
Review the customer aging on a periodic basis as per SOP and draw up action plan.
• Maintain customer ledgers, ensure creation & update of customer code and setup in line
with SOP, coordinate with customers for timely payment and resolve the discrepancies
regarding overdue, over limit and bounce cheques.
• Supervise and arrange Internal Inventory Audit to ensure stock variances are identified,
reported and booked, coordinate with distribution department to achieve DOH goal.
• Manage financial operations e.g. distribution Commission disbursement, Sales Incentives,
Rental payments against agreements, Liaison commission disbursement, Capital
expenditures and their depreciation, insurance cover, Asset disposal/write-off proposal,
ICBs to Region.
• Maintain up-to-date product costs, transfer prices in the ERP.
• Sales tracking as per plan, forecast & ROI commitments and highlight abnormalities for
preventive actions. Perform Sales analysis and assist in sales planning.
• Support Distribution team in their financial matters and business decisions.
• Assist in Development of systems, policies and procedures of finance and admin
department. Assist to build internal controls and ensure their compliance.
• Ensure timely compliances of all reporting requirements and reconcile GL accounts.
• Official point of contact for all financial and compliance matters in assigned territory.
