3. Component of Deen
On the authority of Umar (ra) who said: One day while we were sitting with the Messanger of Allah (saw),
there came before us a man with extremely white clothing and extremely black hair. There were no signs
of travel on him and none of us knew him. He [came and] sat next to the Prophet (saw). He supported his
knees up against the knees of the Prophet (saw) and put his hand on his thighs. He said, ‘O Muhammad,
tell me about Islam.’ The Messanger of Allah (saw) said, ‘Islam is to testify that there is none worthy of
worhsip except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messanger of Allah, to establish the prayers, to pay the
zakat, to fast [the month of] Ramadan, and to make pilgrimage to the House if you have the means to do
so.’ He said, ‘You have spoken truthfully [or correctly].’ We were amazed that he asks the question and then
says that he had spoken truthfully. He said, ‘Tell me about Imaan (faith).’ He [the Messanger of Allah (saw)]
responded, ‘It is to believe in Allah, His angles, His books, His messangers, the Last Day and to believe in the
divine decree, [both] the good and the evil thereof.’ He said, ‘You have spoken truthfully.’ He said, ‘Tell me
about al-Ihsaan (goodness).’ He [the Prophet (saw)] answered, ‘It is that you worship Allah as if you see
Him. And even though you do not see Him, [you know] He sees you.’ He said, ‘Tell me about [the time of]
the Hour,’ He [the Prophet (saw)] answered, ‘The one being asked does not know more than the one
asking.’ He said, ‘Tell me about it’s signs.’ He answered, ‘The slave-girl shall give birth to her master, and you
will see the barefooted, scantily-clothed, destitiute shepards competing in constructing lofty buildings.’
Then he went away. I stayed for a long time. Then he [the Prophet (saw)] said, ‘O Umar, do you know who
the questioner was?’ I said, ‘Allah and His Mesanger know best.’ He said, ‘It was [the angel] Jibriel who
came to teach you your religion.’ (Recorded in Muslim)
4. Then he raised his parents to the throne, and they all fell down in prostration to
Joseph, who then said, “O my dear father! This is the interpretation of my old
dream. My Lord has made it come true. He was truly kind to me when He freed
me from prison, and brought you all from the desert after Satan had ignited
rivalry between me and my siblings. Indeed my Lord is subtle in fulfilling what
He wills. Surely He ˹alone˺ is the All-Knowing, All-Wise.”[Surah Yusuf :100]

"And strive hard in Allah's cause as you ought to strive (with
sincerity). He has chosen you (to convey Islam), and has not laid
upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father
Abraham (Islam). It is He (Allah) who has named you Muslims
both before and in this (the Quran), that the Messenger
(Mohammad) may be a witness over you and you be witnesses
over mankind. So offer prayer perfectly, give Zakat (compulsory
charity), and hold fast to Allah, He is your Lord, what an
excellent Lord and what an excellent helper!" [22:78]
Food of Soul: those who believe and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance
of Allah. Surely in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find comfort [13:28]

Our hearts get rusty and need to be polished, Studying Tazkiyah is like having a bloodless surgery, One learns how to constantly renew their iman , Muslims nowadays are large in quantity but lack in quality
Once a person understands who and why they worship, they will taste the sweetness of iman,
We cannot feed our physical body alone, as the person is also possessed of a soul. We need to nourish it. The body was created from the ground (i.e. dust) and so it requires sustenance from the ground. The soul was created by Allah, and needs to be nourished with that which comes from Allah: Qur’an and Sunnah - the Divine Guidance.
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, when the servant commits a sin a black spot appears upon his heart. If he abandons the sin, seeks forgiveness, and repents, then his heart will be polished. If he returns to the sin, the blackness will be increased until it overcomes his heart. It is the covering that Allah has mentioned: No, but on their hearts is a covering because of what they have earned.” (83:14)
We spend so much time in cleansing our homes which is the center of our living, it is where we receive our guests but where we need to spend time cleaning is the dwelling of our emaan:- our soul.
Ehsan linguistically in Arabic means to beautify something – to make something look good, nice embellisehd. Allah preserves the words of the Prophet Yusuf when he uses the term “Ehsan” to describe the blessings and favours Allah conferred on him.
A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that
What is the difference between justice and ehsaan
· Justice: Take your right and give others their right
· Ehsaan: Give them more than their right and take less than you deserve
Be good to yourself – how can I be good to myself? Worship Allah with excellence and put our heart into it. Worship Allah with Ikhlaas
When a man asked him, “O Messenger of Allaah, whom should I honour?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then whom?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then whom?” He said: “Your mother.” He said: “Then whom?” The fourth time he said: “Your father, then the next closest and the next closest.”
It is the duty of parents to take care of their children and not to rely on the internet and television to do the babysitting for them. When parents open up and educate their children, children grow to be healthy and do not lose themselves.
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No one who severs the ties of kinship will enter Paradise.
Because He deserves to be worshipped! Haqqun lillaahi ‘ala khalqihi: It is a right of Allah that we worship him. If man has rights upon each other what about the right of the One Who Created everything in existence?
The Prophet said, “O Mu’adh! Do you know what Allah’s Right upon His slaves is?” I said, “Allah and His Apostle know best.” The Prophet said, “To worship Him (Allah) Alone and to join none in worship with Him (Allah). Do you know what their right upon Him is?” I replied, “Allah and His Apostle know best.” The Prophet said, “Not to punish them (if they do so).” (Sahih Bukhari)
Ibn Abbas Narrated: When the Prophet sent Muadh to Yemen, he said to him, "You are going to a nation from the people of the Scripture, so let the first thing to which you will invite them, be the Tawhid of Allah. If they learn that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers to be offered in one day and one night. And if they pray, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Zakat of their properties and it is to be taken from the rich among them and given to the poor. And if they agree to that, then take from them Zakat but avoid the best property of the people.“
Who is the one who gives life, death, fame, dignity, and wealth and who can take it all back? ALLAH this is what is happening of the Muslims today.
We worship Allah for our own benefit. Worship is sustenance to our souls – it is the food to our souls – not because we have to – just like we have to sustain our body we have to sustain our soul – people today are like zombies because they are controlled by their desires. They try to satiate their physical desires in order to numb the feeling of emptiness that is comes from the neglect of Allah. But even if the body is in its prime, if the soul leaves, the body cannot survive! Similarly, we cannot feed our physical body alone, as the person is also possessed of a soul. We need to nourish it. The body was created from the ground (i.e. dust) and so it requires sustenance from the ground. The soul was created by Allah, and needs to be nourished with that which comes from Allah: Qur’an and Sunnah - the Divine Guidance
It is food of soul
Way to freedom and Dignity, Don’t worship creation..worship creator… Free from worshiping their Job/Money etc..
Rescue in time of Calamity
Way to Jannah
Worship is an all inclusive term for all that Allah loves of external and internal sayings and actions of a person. In other words, worship is everything one says or does for the pleasure of Allah
Islam looks at the individual as a whole. He is required to submit himself completely to Allah, as the Quran instructed the Prophet Muhammad to do…

There are two criteria for Ibadah to be accepted: Allah only accepts that which is pure and correct
Pure/Sincere: done only for the sake of Allah
Correct: done according to the Quran and Sunnah and avoid Bi’dah….
In the first verses of the Qurʾan:
Alhamdulillahi Rabbi’l ʿAlamin
. Allah is being praised because He is the Rabb.
Al-Rahman’l-Rahim.
These are His Names and Attributes.
Iyyaka Naʿbudu wa Iyyaka Nastain.
You alone do We worship and You alone are Whose help we seek. He alone is worthy of worship.
In the very beginning of the Qurʾan, Allah references these categories.
Ibn Qayyim said the worshipper will not be able to understand the ramifications of Iyyaka Na’budhu wa iyyaka Nasta’een until they understand the degree that precedes it – Awakening.
Waking up the heart from heedlessness
We need an alarm
It is this alarm that will make a person a seeker of Allah Subhana wata `alah, This is the station of Awareness, Awaken from our negligence.
The awakening helps one realize the immensity of Allah’s might in comparison to our extreme weakness, and reflect on the innumerous gifts and blessings that Allah has bestowed upon us as well as our inability to pay Allah back. With such realization, we have embarked on the first step of purifying our heart and are now one step closer to achieving true servitude to Allah – our Creator and Sustainer.
To reach the station of awakening one needs to purify his/her soul. The punishment for sin is lifted from a person by means of
Allah's Apostle said, "When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, and the people of the Fire have entered the Fire, Allah will say.’Take out (of the Fire) whoever has got faith equal to a mustard seed in his heart.' They will come out, and by that time they would have burnt and became like coal, and then they will be thrown into the river of Al-Hayyat (life) and they will spring up just as a seed grows on the bank of a rainwater stream." The Prophet said, "Don't you see that the germinating seed comes out yellow and twisted?"
There will be people who pray and still enter Jahanam for cleansing. In Jannah the people who come from hellfire will be known with the nickname the Jahanamayun.
The Prophet said, "Some people who will be scorched by Hell (Fire) as a punishment for sins they have committed, and then Allah will admit them into Paradise by the grant of His Mercy. These people will be called, 'Al-JahannamiyyLin' (the people of Hell).“
Time is more precious than gold – time is precious – learn from the passage of time – learn from our mistakes – do not repeat the mistakes of history.
Year - Ask a student who has failed a grade he knows the value of a year
Month – Ask the mother who gave birth to a premature baby
Week – Ask an editor
Day – Ask the laborer who sweats the entire day for his family
Hour – Ask the two lovers who are about to meet
Seconds – Ask the one missed an accident
Millisecond – Ask the one who runs a 100 meter race!
Prophet said, “The son of Adam will not be dismissed from before his Lord on the Day of Resurrection until he has been questioned about five things: his life and how he spent it, his youth and how he used it, his wealth and how he earned it and how he disposed of it, and how he acted upon what he acquired of knowledge.”
It is narrated that ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab said, “Call your souls to account before you are called to account and weigh your souls (i.e. your actions) before you are weighed for it will make the accountability easier for you tomorrow if you call your selves to account today.”
Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said to me: Don't consider anything insignificant out of good things even if it is that you meet your brother with a cheerful countenance.
Story of Barsisa::
How does shaytan lead people astray? Beautifies deeds for you: The shaytan starts with small trivial things and helps you increase a sin step by step.
Makes promises and threatens you
This is a message for those who think that Allah will never forgive them. Never despair from Allah’s forgiveness. He will forgive you and change your bad deeds to good deeds.
I heard Allah's Apostle saying. "All the sins of my followers will be forgiven except those of the Mujahirin (those who commit a sin openly or disclose their sins to the people). An example of such disclosure is that a person commits a sin at night and Allah screens it from the public; he then comes in the morning, and says, 'O so-and-so, I did such-and-such (evil) deed yesterday,' though he spent his night screened by his Lord (none knowing about his sin) and in the morning he removes Allah's screen from himself.
