Germs on airplanes have been a common topic in news, social media, and among academics.
Boeing talking about self cleaning bathroom, airlines meanwhile are working to increase passenger capacity by 10%, over 3.7 billion people will fly this year, and that number doubles every 15 years.
This New York Times cartoon is not an uncommon scene. Well, this guy was me. On a plane, flying cross country to visit my kids in college and it seemed everyone onboard was actively protecting themselves from germs. I’m not a germaphobe, but it got me thinking—that last flight couldn’t have spent more than 10 minutes at the gate. Did they clean? How long did they possibly have? They must have an efficient and effective sanitation protocol in place. This is a forward-thinking industry….
And we’re off.

Places needing sanitization.
What we mean by sanitized? UVC is capable of providing hospital level sterility at a speed of 3 rows per minute. But on a routine basis we recommend restaurant-level sanitation. At 9 rows per minute Germfalcon kills 99.9% of germs on these surfaces, in other words about 10 minutes to do a 737.
UV-C Facts

Used in Hospital operating rooms, Microbiology labs, and patient rooms.
Used in HVAC and Water germicidal applications.
UVC works only in “line of sight” with poor penetration/reflection properties.
Commercially Available EPA Approved UVC lamps.
