MELT 5AM LICENSE
Sydney’s bar scene just got better
Melt has a brand spanking new 5AM license. You can see the new license at the entrance at the
base of the stairs on the left. No more locking the doors at 3AM and turning everyone away.
Incidentally and contra to popular belief and public perception there is no blanket 2am or 3am
lock out in Kings Cross Sydney. This only affects 48 pubs around NSW and includes merely 3
venues in Kings Cross – the Empire, Vegas, and Soho Bar.
Irrespective and since September 1st Melts’ doors have been open till 5AM for everyone to enjoy
its new cosy bar area for 50 people, while upstairs continues to blow crowds away with mayhem.
Basically this means no hassles, better people, and more time for unstoppable fun times because
now you can simply lob up to the new bar and forget about trying to meet your friends in seven
different venues around town and bitch about the cabs from place to place. Just tell your friends
to meet you at Melt and work out a plan from there. It’s simple. Plus you get to listen to kick ass
tunes and you don’t have to deal with the losers rolling around town. It is literally all damn good.
Sydney’s bar scene has been taking off recently however most of these cool places close at
midnight or 3am, which sucks ass. And there are not too many decent places to choose from that
stay open till 5am – especially in the Paddington, Surry Hills, Darlinghurst and Kings Cross areas.
Melt is a high‐class top‐shelf establishment to have a drink without the pretension you get from
most places around town. Not to mention the prices you get slugged with everywhere else. Melt
is the best of everything!
Tucked away in one of the Kings Cross’s best back streets, it has fast become a local favourite for
Sydneysiders in the know. Away from all the madness, once you’re in it feels like you’re a million
miles away from Kings Cross. Great cocktails, friendly staff, and eclectic mix of music, funk, house,
pop, indie, electro funk, and more awaits including a kick ass juke box on the first floor.
With a 5am license and no lockout this is one little hideaway you need to discover.
