Here is an easy and free method for getting hot leads and clients for your offline IM consulting or website design business. Just implement it and you will get clients fast!

2. GET YOUR FIRST OFFLINE CLIENT IN 24 HRS
No matter how skillful you are when it comes to SEO, Social Media, PPC
Management, Website Design or any other Internet Marketing services, you
would always be broke if you have no clients who are happy to pay you to do
all the services you provide for them.
That is the bottom line we all need to address in order to build and run a
sustainable offline IM business before you develop your own IM skills (or learn
to outsource the technical part of your business).

So allow me to share one of the lead generation methods I use to get neverending flow of hot leads. But before I get into it, you need to remember that
what you are getting into is a real business, just like your local plumbers and
electricians are doing whatever they need to do to get clients.
So don't think that you can get leads and clients magically by a few clicks with
your mouse just because you are in the Internet Marketing niche. This means
you need to take action and do some work to make it happen! Now, let’s get
into it.

This is the method I’ve been using whenever I want to get a quick extra cash or to
“put a foot in the door” so that I can sell other more profitable services. It is pretty
easy to do and you can likely get your first offline client within a day if you do it right.
Step 1: Go to Google Local, Yahoo Local or any other local business directories
(Yellow Pages, Manta etc.) and check on local businesses in the niche you want to
target. Once you find their website, open a Notepad and paste each website address
into it. I normally collect 30-40 per campaign.

Step 2: Send all the website URLs you collected to your own email address
that you can check on your smart/mobile phone. This will make the URLs
click-able on your phone.
Step 3: Visit all the website on your phone and see if they are mobile
optimized sites or not. If not, jot down those web addresses.
Step 4: Go back to the business directory or visit those non-mobile optimized
sites and write down their email address and contact person (if available).

Step 5: Visit dudamobile.com and create a free new account. This website is
awesome as you can convert pretty much any non-mobile optimized sites into
mobile websites with literary a click of a button so it takes just about 10 to 15
minutes to convert one website including some small adjustments. I would
suggest you to practice with the first couple of websites to get a hang of it.

7. GET YOUR FIRST OFFLINE CLIENT IN 24 HRS
Step 6: Once you converted 5 to 10 sites into mobile sites mock-ups (or as
many as you want), you can simply shorten each preview URL Duda Mobile
provides by one of the URL shortening services (such as bit.ly) and send them
to each of the local businesses who have no mobile optimized sites.

Step 7: In your email, you can say something like…
“Hey, I was looking for some (your niche) in (your town/city) online and
stumbled upon your business. But your site was hard to navigate on my iPhone
(or whatever your phone is) so I went ahead and made your mobile site here
(URL to the preview page). Let me know what you think! (Your Name and Ph.
Number)”

9. GET YOUR FIRST OFFLINE CLIENT IN 24 HRS
That’s it! Since you are not selling anything plus you are showing something
tangible without asking them to pay for it (yet), you should get at least a few
responses wanting to know more about it. Remember, they are all hot leads so
you should have no problem selling a mobile website, especially since they
already can see what it looks like.
About the price, it is up to you how much you want to charge. But I would
recommend $147 - $197 per site to start off with so that you can sell it quickly.

Well, that is the method I wanted to share with you and I can tell you it works. This is
a great way to not only get your first client quickly and make fast cash but also put a
foot in the door and start selling other IM services you may offer.
The downside of this method, however, is that you need to build a few mock-up
mobile sites before you approach your prospects. Like I said it should take no more
than 10 to 15 minutes to get each mock-up done so it is still not a lot of work when
you think about the Return Of Investment. But you still need to do some work before
you start prospecting…

If you are little lazy or simply do not have enough time to do that, there is another
lead generation method you may be interested in. I have successfully been using it,
especially when I want to get new long-term clients. This method is a lot easier as you
don’t need to do any preparation work.
All I do is sending a simple prospecting letter tailored to my services to about 30
businesses in one local niche. This method usually works better by sending it by mail
but it also works by e-mail. Either way I usually receive 2 to 6 responses from hot
leads and get at least 1 to 3 paid clients per campaign.

I usually charge between $500 and $1000 per month for my SEO service so
even getting just one paid client by sending out a simple letter to about 30
