What I still need to
experience..
4. I will continue to spend time at my current SPP site to learn
more about budgeting and the purchase of resources. I have
offered to volunteer to assist during a library stocktaking in
order to learn in context.
My plans to gain further
experience..
5. To acquire further experience I will endeavour to visit
additional SPP sites to gain an insight into how
collaborative planning and co-teaching works and observe a
teacher-librarian who uses a Process Models Approach to
support learning (Pickering, 2004). It will also be beneficial
to visit a library with a mission statement and strong policy
documents.
My plans to gain further
experience..
6. I would also like to visit a library that utilises technology not
only to support but also enhance student learning in the 21st
century (O’Connell & Groom, 2012). In addition to this, it will
be necessary to explore the opportunities for professional
development and continue my professional reading in the
area of ICT and Web 2.0 tools.
My plans to gain further
experience..
7. Over the duration of my MED (teacher-librarianship) I will
actively seek out professional development opportunities and
continue my professional reading on OZTL-NET and other
online subscriptions.
My plans to gain further
experience..
