Learning objective:1.2 Understanding the various form of energy
action.

Learning outcome:At the end of the lesson , pipils should be able to

   1. Identify clearly at least 4 type of energy action out of the 6
      energy action given.
   2. Give accurately at least 4 example that involve in each energy
      action from group discussion.



Science process skill:Observing,communicating,making inferences
and classifying.

Prior knowledge:Pupils learnt about source of energy.

Critical and creative thinking: Relating,attributing,making conclusions
and generating idea .

Science Attitudes and noble values:

Do not beat traffic light.
Do not waste electricity.
Appreciate to our parents.
Appreciate that devices lighten our work.
Do not playful while stretching rubber band.
Do not play with the scissors.
Be cooperative and sharing.

light when it is not needed.

9. Heat Energy

mention that heat energy is the
energy that make us feel hot and
warm.It enables us to cook.
ii.Pupils are asked to observe each
examples.
iii.are told that we should
appreciate to our parents to wash
our clothes,hang it in the sun for
drying and ironing our clothes.

10.Chemical Energy
i.Pupils listen to teacher who
mention that chemical energy:
a)stored in fuel
b)stored in food
ii.Pupils are asked to observe each
examples.
iii.Pupils read together we need
food to live,grow,move.


11.Sound Energy
i.Pupils listen to teacher that sound
energy produce when a force
causes a thing to vibrate.
ii.Pupils observe each examples.
              iii.Pupils listen to sound of baby
              crying and phone rang.
              iv.Pupils are required to claphands
              and knocking their table together.
              v.Pupils relate that this is a kind of
              sound energy.

              12. Electrical Energy
              i.Pupils listen to teacher who
              mention that electrical energy
              enable devices to function.
              ii.Pupils are asked to observe each
              examples.
              iii.Pupils are told that we should
              appreciate that those devices
              which lighten our house work.

              13.Pupils check their record sheet
              answer with the correct answer
              given by teacher.

Subject:Science Class:5(7) Date/Time: 3.10.2011(Monday) Number of students: 48 Theme:Inverstigating force and energy Learning area:Energy Learning objective:1.2 Understanding the various form of energy action. Learning outcome:At the end of the lesson , pipils should be able to 1. Identify clearly at least 4 type of energy action out of the 6 energy action given. 2. Give accurately at least 4 example that involve in each energy action from group discussion. Science process skill:Observing,communicating,making inferences and classifying. Prior knowledge:Pupils learnt about source of energy. Critical and creative thinking: Relating,attributing,making conclusions and generating idea . Science Attitudes and noble values: Do not beat traffic light. Do not waste electricity. Appreciate to our parents. Appreciate that devices lighten our work. Do not playful while stretching rubber band. Do not play with the scissors. Be cooperative and sharing.

Switch off the light when it is not needed. 9. Heat Energy i.Pupils listen to teacher who mention that heat energy is the energy that make us feel hot and warm.It enables us to cook. ii.Pupils are asked to observe each examples. iii.are told that we should appreciate to our parents to wash our clothes,hang it in the sun for drying and ironing our clothes. 10.Chemical Energy i.Pupils listen to teacher who mention that chemical energy: a)stored in fuel b)stored in food ii.Pupils are asked to observe each examples. iii.Pupils read together we need food to live,grow,move. 11.Sound Energy i.Pupils listen to teacher that sound energy produce when a force causes a thing to vibrate.

Electrical Energy i.Pupils listen to teacher who mention that electrical energy enable devices to function. ii.Pupils are asked to observe each examples. iii.Pupils are told that we should appreciate that those devices which lighten our house work. 13.Pupils check their record sheet answer with the correct answer given by teacher. Application 1.Pupils are required to do 2 SPS: of idea activities(individual and group). Communicating (20minutes) Observing 2.FIRST ACTIVITY (Potential energy) i.Pupils are required to take the TLS: rubber band by your left hand. Relating ii.Use your thumb and index finger to stretch rubber band. iii.Use your right index finger and SANV: put it between the rubber band.
