OBJECTIVE:
To obtain a position that will allow me to support the company with my abilities and allow
me to grow and gain experience.
EMPLOYMENT
2005-Present: HD Supply
Welder/Fabricator. I fabricate fire sprinkler systems. I operate and maintain Threaders,
Plasma Torch, Groovers, Roll Cutter, Cold Saw, Mig Welders, Arc Welders the CW5 Whirly
Bird Welder and the Automatic Welder. I also measure, cut, groove, and thread pipe
and put the correct fittings on the pipe. I blow the necessary holes in the pipe with a
plasma torch, then weld the proper outlets on the pipe and weld flanges. I use a bander
to band the pipe together. I also work in the warehouse pulling fittings for jobs which
includes using a fork-lift if needed and I help load and unload pipe delivery trucks. I assist
with making sure jobs are shipped on time and help customers when needed with will-
calls. I install new fabrication equipment and remove old equipment when needed. I
am the back up for the Plant Manager when he is away from the branch. My duties
include completing the KPI, directing workflow, follow up with the fabricators to make
sure that the work is being completed properly and in a timely manner. I give assistance
and direction where and when needed within the shop. I also communicate with and
help outside vendors as needed. I am also a member of the Safety Committee at the
branch. I assist the Branch Manager and Operations Manager with the Environmental
Health & Safety regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
I am a self-starter and a fast learner. I communicate well with others and have the ability
to troubleshoot problems. I have a excellent work ethic and l feel that I would be a
great asset to this position.
