Responsible for supporting the global Arla business with working capital reductions
focussing on inventory tie up. Primary focus is on large scale change programmes in the
German and UK markets. Among key deliverables for the German market has been the
optimised finished goods distribution set-up, especially the strategic sizing of the
distribution centres.
Also included in the role are Site and Business Group reviews supporting the business
partners in delivering the yearly targets within Net Working Capital reductions.

SC Project Manager – Head of Supply Chain Optimisation Jan’11-Feb’14
Responsible for a team of specialists and project managers, with the primary focus on
designing the business processes for a Greenfield dairy near Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
and the development and implementation of Arla’s new WMS system to a Greenfield 3PL
distribution centre in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
Responsibilities cover everything from quality management across planning to production
and despatching along with a high degree of line management responsibilities.
The main deliverables includes:
Distribution & coldstore warehouse system based on SAP EWM including integration to
both ERP and customer systems.
Planning & scheduling solution based on SAP APO
Maintenance management solution based on SAP PM with mobility
Reporting and KPI management solution through SAP BI and Sharepoint reporting services

2. All of these solutions are geared towards together to build a dairy that is more agile,
flexible and transparent than what is currently the norm. Focus have through the whole
project been governed by a strict set of KPIs driving all decision making.
SC Project Manager – Interim Planning Manager Oct’10-Jan’11
An Interim role as planning manager for the newly opened Stourton Creamery, with focus
on bringing the operation safely through the first Christmas peak period.
The role was purely to ensure as little impact on service level as possible through the first
real test of the new facility. Focus on driving effective communication between the
process and production departments along with stakeholder management of key
individuals in the central functions.
SC Project Manager – Commissioning Manager Apr’09-Oct’10
Responsible for the commissioning of Stourton Creamery. The project was in effect a
Greenfield creamery addition on to the existing Stourton Dairy. The role included a large
part change management and the integration of the new operation into the existing one
was a slow process.
With an additional 103 heads and limited structure in place to manage the new operation a
large part of the time was spent creating ways of working for the various departments.
Primary focus was on the planning and production/filling departments.
Among others creating a replacement planning solution and ways of managing packaging
materials.
Further the role also included a large degree of planning with suppliers to ensure the
factory could deliver the functionality designed.
The main deliverables include:
A complete planning solution based on excel incl. materials mgmt and packaging.
Setting up an operational DRM structure allowing improvements to take place.
Optimise the packaging flow, effectively ensuring no mixed packaging to customers.
SC Project Manager – Project Engineer Feb’08-Apr’09
As a project engineer with Arla I was primarily involved with the expansion project for
Stourton Dairy, effectively designing a creamery factory. The factory planned to produce a
wide variety of products such as custards, creams, fermented creams, flavoured milks and
cottage cheese.
I was responsible for the development off all utilisation and capacity designs including
initial factory layout drawings.
Further as part of this role I completed my Bachelor project – Re-design of parts of the
supply chain – Arla Foods Plc.
The role included involvement in all levels of design, both facility, equipment, products and
tender/contract documentation.
