Dear Tim:
GSA is pleased to offer this letter of reference and commendation regarding our firm‘s collaboration with
Stiles Construction on a number of projects.
One of the major project undertakings we worked on together was the refurburishing and code correction
of the Seminole Classic Casino in Hollywood Florida. This project was one of the most difficult to
complete due to the complexity of the building being (2) separate structures needing complete separation
by installing a 3-hour rated wall, in addition to maintaining full casino operations and patron comfort
during the process.
The major task on this project was not only to do the code correction of the building, but also to upgrade
the MEP systems and life safety systems to meet the building‘s code issues, in addition to providing the
client with changes renovations, and upgrades of existing operating areas.
The project was set up as a full team approach of design build and design bid. Stile’s management of the
project, working with GSA as the MEP/FP/LV engineers and the MEP/FP sub-contractors, was
exemplary. The coordination, scheduling and phasing of the project was discussed with all team
members and the client to reach the goals and complete the project on time.
This project was so sucessful that we are now working with Stiles in the same manner on a number of
Seminole Tribe public and casino projects with the same ongoing success.
We commend the entire Stiles organization on their management and their abilty to keep focused on
completing projects on time and on budget while bringing the engineering team and the construction team
together as one unit on a project.
