During the Second Year, as part of this course, I was required to compose original music for
a film of my choice. My choice was an episode of ‘Jeeves and Wooster’, links of which can
be found below. It was selected to be shown at the London Metropolitan Summer Show in
Central House on Aldgate in 2014.

During the final year, a group project required the composition and production of a number

OTHER SKILLS:
MUSICAL EXPERIENCE:
I have played guitar for over 25 years in bands in a wide variety of styles ranging from Punk,
Punk/Blues, Soul, Gypsy Jazz, Trad/Dixieland Jazz, Folk, Heavy/Glam Metal, Pop/Covers,
Cabaret and any crossovers in-between. I occasionally perform as a solo act performing
Gypsy/European Jazz to a backing track/loop. I have played/toured in the USA, Canada and
Costa Rica and all over the British Isles, France and Serbia. In the last 2/3 years, I have
played banjo in a jazz band, double-bass/bandleader with my own quartet (Nightflight) and
electric and double-bass in trios/quartets. Much of my musical experience has involved
composing original music for performance.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
I have considerable teaching experience over a number of years through all age ranges and
have taken a pupil through Grades 5 and 6 on Electric Guitar in which he achieved 75%. I
was working through Grade 8 with this pupil until I moved to London. He passed this Grade
8 exam in July 2010. I am a member of the Musicians’ Union and have passed a CRB check
(available on request).
Since November 2013 I have been teaching guitar at Eveline Day School in Balham on a part-
time basis to pupils aged 6 to 10 years teaching chords and simple songs, some of which the
pupils played at recitals held at the school in June and December of 2014 and May 2015.
I have a great deal of experience in using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel
and music programmes (Logic, Finale, Adobe Audition, Nuendo etc).
