Instructions for students
For this assignment, you are required to choose a community, group or organisation you know
well. Once you have chosen your community, use theirs or your experiences (if you were a
member of the community, group or organisation) to preparea casestudy. The casestudy
should discusshowthe group/community had identified a problem and how they have
approached itin addressingthe issue. From the action taken, what results did they achieve and
what both you and the community can learn from these experiences. It is also importantto refer
to the ideas and writingof other authors includingthoseyou used in Part1 of this assignment.

• Aspects of the problem that are common in another situation/locality;and
• Kinds of economic, social and political questionsthatareconsidered to be linked
to the problem
