2. WHAT ARE ILLUSTRATIONS?
Illustrations are academic questions that are asked in the
counselling session when the child and his parents are available.
The basic agenda of asking these questions is to generate the
need of our product like whatever child has learnt till now is all
theoretical, practical approach in studies is missing.Basically the
concepts are not clear, children used to mug up the concepts but
when we are preparing for competitive exams like JEE/NEET its
very important to understand the concepts properly and then
practice. If we are not planning things properly then it is very
difficult to crack such competitive exams.
3. Also illustrations help us in
● Establishing a need for a better approach.
● Creating an impact in the session by explaining to the parent and
the student better ways of studying through a practical and real
life approach.
NOTE:
The objective should not be to undermine the child, instead explain him
that the problem is with the education system and the learning method.
REASON FOR ASKING ILLUSTRATION
4. WHY ILLUSTRATIONS ARE IMPORTANT?
Illustrations are the most important part of session, without
Illustrations the counselling session is totally incomplete and only if
the illustrations are taken properly the probability of sales closure
increases.
Illustrations should be always conceptual i.e. it should deal with good
concepts and it should be asked in a proper way in between the
session. The delivery of illustrations as well as the way those
illustrations are explained in the session, to make it clear that how we
teach in Aakash BYJU’s makes this more impactful.
5. MATHS ILLUSTRATIONS
Ans: If probability of a hit is ½ then any time the probability of hit
anywhere is always ½ only
1. A Boy Throwing stones at a target. Probability of his
hitting the target is ½. The Probability of hitting the
target for the 5th time in the 10th row is?
a) ½
b) 63/512
c) 449/512
d) 189/512
6. 2. In a queue of 13 people the position of a boy is 4th from
front, what will be his position from the back?
Ans: It should come instant here, usually students do 13-4 = 9
but the answer is 13-4+1 = 10 because while subtracting total -
position from front we include that same position twice from
front and back both but it has to be included only once so 10
comes as the right answer.
MATHS ILLUSTRATIONS
7. 3. Why Π is 3.14 always?
Ans: Because irrespective of the size of the circle if we
divide circumference and diameter (the ratio of
circumference to diameter) we will always get 3.14
constant value so we termed it as Π.
MATHS ILLUSTRATIONS
8. 1) What is the colour of Sun? And why?
Ans:The colour of Sun is White. As white light passes through
through a prism, it disperses into 7 different colours, forming a
rainbow like image. Similarly when Sunlight passes through rain
droplets acting as tiny prisms, the sum forms a rainbow. As White
light is made up of 7 different colours it can be concluded that Sun
is White but it appears yellow from earth. This is because of the
distance between Sun and Earth .Red has the highest wavelength,
followed by Orange and Yellow. Had we been in Pluto and beyond,
the Sun would have appeared Reddish instead of Yellow.
9. 2) Why is the value of g is zero at the center
of the Earth?
Ans: Acceleration due to the earth's gravity is zero at the
centre of the Earth because at that point the mass of the
earth is equally distributed in all directions, so pulling equally
in all directions for a net zero pull. As the distance from the
centre decreases, the acceleration due to gravity also
decreases.
At the centre of Earth, the force due to upper half of the
Earth will cancel the force due to lower half.Instead of the
gravitational force at the centre on any body will be 0. Since,
from Newton's law, we know
F=mg
Since, mass m of an object can never be 0.
So g=0.
10. CHEMISTRY ILLUSTRATIONS
1) Why does the vegetable cook with difficulty at hill stations?
Ans:The boiling point of water depends upon the pressure on its surface.
It increases with increase of pressure and decrease on lowering of
pressure. At higher altitudes, the atmospheric pressure is low, and
therefore water boils below 100 degree C. Hence sufficient heat is not
supplied for cooking the vegetables at hill stations. This difficulty may be
overcome by using a pressure cooker.
11. 2)Is the boiling point of water always 100 degree
Celsius ?
Ans: If we ask this question to anyone, many of them says, water boils at
100 degrees. But that is not the case, water have three molecules i.e. two
hydrogen and one oxygen. When we apply heat to water, molecule never
breaks. There is a force acting between these water molecules called,
“Vander Waals force” that break.
We need to understand that the boiling point of any substance
depends on the vapour pressure of the liquid which is equal to the
pressure of the gas above it. The boiling point of water, therefore,
depends on the following parameter:
1. Altitude: As the altitude increases, the boiling temperature decreases
and vice versa happens when the altitude decreases.
2. The purity of water: If we consider sea water, the salt content is more
making the sea water less pure and therefore the temperature at which
sea water boils would be high when compared with the freshwater.
12. 3) Why does sodium keep immersed in
kerosene oil?
Ans:Sodium is a highly reactive metal and reacts vigorously
with the oxygen, carbon dioxide and moisture present in the
air such that it may even cause a fire. To prevent this explosive
reaction, Sodium is kept immersed in kerosene because
Sodium doesn’t react with kerosene.
13. BIOLOGY ILLUSTRATIONS
1) Does all of earth's oxygen come from trees?
Ans:All of earth's oxygen does not come from trees. Rather, the
atmospheric oxygen that we depend on as humans comes
predominantly from the ocean.
70% of the oxygen in the atmosphere comes from marine plants and
plant-like organisms. These ocean-living plants release molecular
oxygen as a waste product of photosynthesis (as do most plants).
14. 2)Why we should not drink water post 30 mins we
have food?
Ans:There is Conc. HCL acid in our stomach which digests the food
which gets dillute when we drink water post our meals so it affects
digestion and produces gastric and other indigestion issues and
increases weight as well.
15. 3) Where blood filtration takes place HEART or KIDNEY?
Ans: Kidney – Relate it with Dialysis
