Leaders today operate in multi-cultural and multi-generational environments that are
complex and continously changing. While technical skills and core competencies are
essential for effective leadership, the ability to inspire people, impact change and move
things forward, while staying healthy and resilient, largely depends on how you manage
yourself.
• Do you have a reoccurring sense that there is something more for you to contribute?
• Are you ready to make a more meaningful impact?
• Do you need to find a new way to work that is less stressful and more sustainable?
• Are you looking for your next growth opportunity?
Carve out time this year. Take responsibility for your own your development. Invest in
yourself. Hone in on your leadership, get honest about what you want, what’s working
and what’s not. Then make some changes. Learn from others in similar situations and get
support. I’ll be there to guide you along the way helping to grow your awareness, teaching
practical skills and offering insights and accountability to help you move forward with
clarity.

What if I can’t attend every session?
What you get out of this intensive will
be reflected in the amount of work you
put into it. You will be with the same
group throughout the year, so you will
gain community and connections. These
connections can also help you catch up if you
have to miss a session. There are no refunds,
so make sure you are ready to commit before
signing up. Individual make-up sessions will
be available for an additional fee.
Who is this for?
This intensive is for men and women who
have come to the limits of their leadership
skills but still want to become even more
effective and intentional. I agree with
Margaret Wheatley when she says "a leader
is anyone who is willing to help and take
action." Leadership is not about position.
You don’t have to be at a certain level in an
organization to participate in this intensive.
This is for men and women who are business
leaders, community leaders, solopreneurs,
collaborators, and anyone who feels the
desire to make an impact.
What kind of time commitment is this?
In addition to monthly sessions, it is important
to carve out time between sessions to think
and reflect. This involves being patient with
the process and being aware that evolving your
capacity and leadership skills can sometimes be
uncomfortable and challenging. It’s important
that you are committed to doing the work,
growing and applying what you’ve learned.
How do I sign up?
Contact me if this interests you so we can talk
about whether this leadership intensive is right
for you at this point in your career.

What payment types do you take?
You can pay by check or credit card (through
paypal) up front. You can also arrange to
make payments throughout the year. If your
company is sponsoring your fee, an invoice
can be prepared. Discounts available for non-
profits and solopreneurs.
Dates
I am offering 3 co-ed cohorts in 2017 with 10 seats available in each. Make sure the
session dates work in your calendar. You will need to commit to 1 cohort.
3. A Place to Get Clarity...
“There was closeness and camaraderie
within the group; the format of it created a
safe place to learn and grow. And Melissa
has so much insight and clarity. I felt that
she could quickly and clearly see what was
going on with each of us.”
“The combination of the concepts and
Melissa’s teaching methods are what makes
it so impactful. She approaches leadership
in a unique way, which makes it really
powerful.”
“Having a small group with the same
people each month makes it a safer
environment. Over several months in a
row, you build that level of trust so you can
share with others in a helpful way and get a
level of guidance. Also because of the small
group you can specifically talk about your
own experiences and get feedback. There are
times Melissa digs in with, “Let’s talk about
that” and makes suggestions on things you
can do differently. It feels more practical
than theoretical.”
“Other leadership courses are more about
providing general skills and development
for leaders, whereas this course focused on
my personal goals and helped me to develop
based on what I wanted and needed. It had
a set curriculum but it was tailored to each
person.”
“We were all forced to look in the mirror.
Maybe that’s the best part about it; Melissa
brought up these issues, but she didn’t leave
you there. She said, ‘Here are some resources
to help.’ So my problem areas became my
assets.”

LEADERSHIPDEVELOPMENTFACILITATORCOMMUNITYBUILDERCAREERCOACH
“I quit my job during the year, and
took a few months off before looking for
a new job. I got very intentional about the
people and energy I want to be around, and
accepted a great new opportunity that was
the best fit for me. People have told me, ‘I
don’t know what you’ve done but you look
great.’ I do feel good! I’m energized and
more aware of how I show up each day. And
I believe I can create the life I want.”
“I met my personal goals and I have
gained more confidence, too. I’m working
less, but am earning more than I’ve ever
made before."
“The process of becoming more con-
fident in my own competence completely
changed my stress response. I was operating
at a 7 or 8 stress level – and now it’s a 2 or
3. I’m a totally different person. My interac-
tions with my staff have changed, too. Our
team has a lighter atmosphere, less pressure,
is more cohesive – and we are somehow
more productive.”
“I made a 180-degree career shift – it’s
deeper than just the leadership skills, it’s
everything in my life. I look in the mirror
and think, ‘I’m a totally different person
than when I started.’ Last year I felt awful –
I wasn’t motivated; I was sad; I felt trapped
and was resentful of that. But so many
little mind and perspective shifts happened
for me this year – little tweaks that built
on other tweaks that put me in a position
where I’m the happiest that I have ever been
in my life."
