RE:// Haven of Rest School Children’s Village

Dear Partner

2010 marks the commencement of a landmark, the Haven of Rest School and Children’s
Village which will have far reaching positive impacts for the greater community at large.

Equipping youngsters for the future is paramount and with the start of a new education
block, we aim to groom academically, spiritually, morally and socially sound individuals
for life.

As a valued partner of the Haven of Rest, we invite you to join us in Phase 1 of this
exciting project, which will house approximately 200 children. Construction is imminent
and the completed education block will incorporate 20 classrooms, inclusive of a primary
and secondary school, an administration block, computer room, library and playground.

Currently, our school ACE System of Education caters for 66 children, of which 20 are
from the Haven of Rest. The capital cost for the school project is estimated at R5 million.

Phase 2
The long-term development also includes a second and third phase upon completion of
the school. The Haven of Rest Children's Home caters for the needs of infected and
affected HIV/AIDS orphans from our community. Victims of a vicious disease - the
Haven of Rest has been a home of love, comfort and care to these precious souls. Phase
two encompasses 15 cottages, which will house 100 children, mostly HIV/Aids infected
and affected orphans. To ensure children are brought up in a proper family set up, the
cottages will each have house parents to care for six children per cottage. Phase 2 is
estimated at R5 million. Individual cottages can also be named after generous donors.

Phase 3
Phase 3 of this mammoth undertaking will be a duplex to house six people with three
bedroom apartments at a cost of R2 million. This facility will house the selfless angels of
mercy, workers, house volunteer workers for the school and Haven of Rest. The total cost
of all three phases stands at approximately R12 million.

The plans have already been submitted for approval and groundwork has commenced.

Support
With dedicated sponsors and partners, we can all make a difference in society. While
others turn a blind eye to these glaring issues – there are those who face the unsheltered
daily brunt of abuse, poverty, dependency, violence and other manifestations of social
ills. These people have dedicated their lives to promote the preservation and
strengthening of families and to protect children from maltreatment, neglect, abuse and
degradation. But it is not just the responsibility of social workers and NGOs to handle all
the moral and social problems within society. Parents, families, communities, corporates,
business, government and religious leaders all have a role to play to fight this scourge. No
one should abdicate their responsibility and the time for pointing fingers of blame, are
over. The time for action is needed.

Whatever you can do whether big or small, every individual should play a part in
enhancing the social fibre of society. We humbly request that you partner with us to make
this vision a reality. Any contribution in cash and kind towards this huge project will be
appreciated. We are looking for individuals/ families/ companies to sponsor a Brick for a
minimum of R10 000-00 to be raised in 6 months that will enable us to reach our target.
The individual/ families/ companies name would be on a brick.

Thanking you for your co-operation and God bless.

Ronnie & Shirley Naidoo
