• The Green Ash (Fraxinus pennsylvanica) is widely planted as a street tree in the
United States.
• This Green Ash and its many Cultivars are also widely used for landscaping trees,
as they are easy to grow and maintain, and less susceptible to diseases than
alternative similar trees.
• The Fraxinus pennsylvanica 'Patmore' Green Ash is a Cultivar that is available at
tree nurseries and garden centers throughout the United States.
• Ash is used as sound wood for musical instruments, such as solid-body guitars,
electric guitars and electric bass guitars.The Black Ash or Swamp ash (Fraxinus
nigra) has been used specifically for this purpose.
• The inner bark of the Blue Ash (Fraxinus quadrangulata) has been used as a
source for a blue dye.

INDIAN CORAL TREE
• Indian Coral Tree is a showy, spreading tree legume with brilliant red blossoms.
• This highly valued ornamental has been described as one of the gems of the floral world.
• It has many stout branches that are armed with black tiger's claw spines.
• There are curved spines (really more like prickles) on the long leaf stalks too.
• The leaves are compound, with three diamond shaped leaflets, each about 6 inch long.
• Before the leaves come out in late winter or early spring, coral tree puts on a spectacular show
with bright crimson flowers 2-3 inch long in dense terminal clusters.
• It may flower a little during the summer, too.
• The beanlike pods that follow the flowers are cylindrical, about 15 inch long, and constricted
between the reddish brown seeds.
• The naturally occurring variety orientalis has the veins of its leaflets highlighted with yellow or
pale green.
• 'Parcellii', with yellow variegated leaves, may be just another name for the same variety. 'Alba'
has white flowers.

• The fruit is a dry capsule containing numerous
small winged seeds.

margin; they are strongly scented and have a
decussate phyllotaxy. The purplish flowers are
placed in close whorls on elongated racemes.

1) PAPER FLOWER(BOUGAINVILLEA)
• COMMON NAME : Bougainvillea
• BOTANICAL NAME : four o' clock family,
Nyctaginaceae.
• HEIGHT : 1 to 12 metres
• TYPE : evergreen
• The leaves are alternate, simple ovate-
acuminate, 4–13 cm long and 2–6 cm broad.
• The actual flower of the plant is small and
generally white, but each cluster of three
flowers is surrounded by three or six bracts with
the bright colours associated with the plant,
including pink, magenta, purple, red, orange,
white, or yellow.
• Bougainvillea glabra is sometimes called "paper
flower" because its bracts are thin and papery.

produced by the plant are hermaphroditic.

• The fragrant flowers are white, 1–2 cm diameter,
with a tube-like corolla opening out into five petal-
like lobes.
• The white, rotate actinomorphic flowers have a
calyx formed by five narrow, smooth, reflexed
sepals 2−5 mm , much shorter than the corolla
tube.
• The latter has a dilated tube in the middle, 5−10
mm long, terminating in 5 obliquely bypassed
lobes, all curved, resembling a helix turning
counterclockwise.
5) BLUEBELL VINE

vine, blue pea, and Darwin pea
• BOTANICAL NAME : Clitoria ternatea
• The butterfly pea is a unique flower to be grown
as a climber plant. Apart from its vividly blue and
white-colored petals, which bring with them a
touch of calmness to the garden, the flower can
also be used for a variety of other purposes.
• For instance, it is used by many shepherds to feed
their sheep, and by farmers to feed their cattle. It
can be used for our culinary requirements as well.
It is also used as ayurvedic medicine for inflamed
eyes. It also serves best as a memory-enhancer
and brain booster.

• lood grass is also called Imperata Cylindrica.
• Having its origin in Australia, India, Africa and South Asia,
the grass is a unique color mixture of bright red, yellow,
and green.
• Texture wise the grass remains low and close to the
ground.
• Blood grass grows best in moist soil and even in very hot
weather, but you need to meet up the water
requirements perfectly
• . Even though the grass is quite good to look, some
people tend to ignore it considering it to be invasive on
nature.
4)JAPANESE FOREST GRASS
• COMMON NAME : golden grass
• BOTANICAL NAME : Hakonechloa macra
• Japanese Forest Grass is known as the golden
grass and this ornamental grass variety is
found usually in regions around Mt Hakone in
Japan.
• Predominantly, the leaves of this grass
display a golden tinge and it can be identified
by the thin stems which somehow resembles
bamboo.
• The grass bush looks exceptionally beautiful
with purple flowers and dark green plants at
its backdrop. You need to water it frequently:
in hot and humid weather you may have to
water the grasses two to three times a day.
5) FOUNTAIN GRASS
• COMMON NAME : fountain grass
• BOTANICAL NAME : Pennisetum Setaceum
• HEIGHT : 1.5 meter
• If you are looking for a pretty looking grass for
planting in your garden, then fountain grass
should be your one of the best options.
• You can plant these grasses in small clusters and
enjoy the beautiful bushy effect.
• As fountain grass are moisture friendly and
blooms in warm weather these grasses can be
maintained easily in tropical zones.
• You must read the instructions on the seed label
to know more about the maintenance before
purchasing.
6) TUFTED HAIR GRASS
• COMMON NAME : Tufted Hair Grass
• BOTANICAL NAME : Deschampsia cespitosa
• HEIGHT : Up to 3 feet tall
• This semi-evergreen grass is low-growing,
forming dense clumps of slender blades, up
to two feet in height.
• In early summer, stems of up to three feet
tall rise above the grass, producing feathery
flowers in a dark purple shade, which fade to
tan in winter.
• Though it prefers full sun, it will also adapt
well to semi-shaded positions. Once
established, this grass can gain tolerance to
drought, and will thrive in almost any soil
type, though it prefers organic soils.
7)ST. AUGUSTINE GRASS
• COMMON NAME : St. Augustine grass, carpet
grass
• BOTANICAL NAME : Stenotaphrum secundatum
• HEIGHT : 6-12”
• It is one of the most resilient and pest resistant
grass available. It is known as slow growing grass
with wide, coarse leaves with rounded tips.
• It loves sandy soil but needs to be watered
frequently. It can provide a grassy cushion for the
lawn and can tolerate high foot traffic too.
8)ZOYSIA GRASS
• COMMON NAME : Zoysia
• BOTANICAL NAME :
• HEIGHT : 6-12”
• It is another warm season grass with stiff and
coarse leaves. It is slow growing, requires full sun
and turns dormant during the colder seasons.
• It will turn green again when the warmer seasons
come. It can tolerate infrequent watering.
9)QUACK GRASS
• COMMON NAME : Quack grass
• BOTANICAL NAME : Elymus repens
• HEIGHT : 12-40”
• It is a perennial grass, often considered as weed
because of its persistence, and is endemic in
northern temperate areas.
• It is cultivated as forage grass and for erosion
control but it is also a good turf grass. It has flat,
hairy leaves with white, yellow spiky flowers.
10)LEMON GRASS
• COMMON NAME : Lemon grass
• BOTANICAL NAME : Cymbopogon citratus
• HEIGHT : Oil grass, lemon grass
• It is a very versatile grass as it can be used as
ornamental, turf grass, extracted as essential oil
and as herb for cuisines especially in Asia and
Mexico.
• It has high medicinal values and an organic way to
ward off mosquitoes and other insects.
• As a grass, it grows in clumps and is known for its
blade-like leaves and stiff stems.

INDIAN CORAL TREE • Indian Coral Tree is a showy, spreading tree legume with brilliant red blossoms. • This highly valued ornamental has been described as one of the gems of the floral world. • It has many stout branches that are armed with black tiger's claw spines. • There are curved spines (really more like prickles) on the long leaf stalks too. • The leaves are compound, with three diamond shaped leaflets, each about 6 inch long. • Before the leaves come out in late winter or early spring, coral tree puts on a spectacular show with bright crimson flowers 2-3 inch long in dense terminal clusters. • It may flower a little during the summer, too. • The beanlike pods that follow the flowers are cylindrical, about 15 inch long, and constricted between the reddish brown seeds. • The naturally occurring variety orientalis has the veins of its leaflets highlighted with yellow or pale green. • 'Parcellii', with yellow variegated leaves, may be just another name for the same variety. 'Alba' has white flowers.
