BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina has named Malcolm Reynolds as their new public relations manager. Reynolds will be responsible for media relations, overseeing corporate communications and organizing public events. He has previous experience working in public relations for Cone Health and United Healthcare. The vice president of public relations at BlueCross BlueShield said they hope Reynolds will be a great addition to the team.

Malcolm Reynolds is BlueCross BlueShield’s New PR Manager
DURHAM, N.C. – BlueCross BlueShield of North Carolina has named Malcolm
Reynolds the new public relations manager. Reynolds will be responsible for media
relations, overseeing corporate communications and organizing events for the public. He
also was impressively awarded the Hickory Daily Record’s Man to Watch in 2015.
Reynolds served as the public relations associate at Cone Health, then the public
relations specialist for United Healthcare. His book “Insurance and Public Relations” was
also recently published. Reynolds first worked with Jackson & Associates in 2010. As a
father of three, Reynolds was a member of the Tar Heel Chapter of the Public Relations
Society of America. He also volunteered to be on the communications committee on the
Piedmont Triad Internet Council.
“We are excited to see what he can bring to the table. We hope that he will be a great
addition to the team here at BlueCross BlueShield,” said the vice president of public
relations Lisa G. Martell about the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduate.
