rural setting and selling the idea of water testing and then setting up an appointment for a technician to
come see them; Recording all information taken and e-mailing it back to the head office daily.
Skills
 Data Entry – I have a great typing speed with high accuracy to spelling and grammar as well as an
attention to detail that is finely tuned. Also (while not necessarily Data Entry oriented) I am fluent in the
program Gentrack, and competent in SAP.
 Excellent Listening Ability – I am very able when it comes to listening to what a customer/client is
trying to say and plucking the truth and the essence from it. Likewise, when I receive feedback I not only
“hear” but truly listen and am able to put what guidance I do receive into effect immediately, so as to
continually improve my skill set.

 Excellent Time Management Skills – I am able to focus, prioritize, and organize my time so as to be
efficient in everything I do. I enjoy meeting Deadlines, and the rush from that feeling of accomplishment
when I succeed at doing the very best I can and achieving the best results possible.
 Excellent Customer Service Skills – I have always prided myself on my exceptional ability to help
people. People are drawn to my personality, and find me to be vivacious, charming, and knowledgeable.
I also have an unparalleled phone manner, which makes me pleasant to deal with, even when not face to
face. I have a deep respect for the feelings and opinions of others, and this makes me understanding,
and empathetic to their needs, thus allowing me to help them find a solution to whatever problem or
need they might be facing. I also have a great ability to retain knowledge and to pass it on expertly and
with authority.
 Ability to work in a team, and management skills – Every job I have ever held (bar one), has been a
team mission. Working in large chain, but small retail space, jewellery stores, with up to 8 other women,
is not something for the faint of heart. But I have always managed it with a sense of humor, and ability to
help soothe ruffled feathers. I have always been the “go-to” person, when there was a problem, as I have
always been keen to help, whether it be a switch in scheduling, or a customer issue that needed
resolution etc. As a Manager I knew it fell to me to make sure there was harmony amongst the staff as
well as a sense of contentment with their work space. Also, as everyone who works in retail knows,
motivation and the ability to sell go hand in hand. I saw the need to motivate my sales team on a
regular basis, and managed to do so without being overbearing.
 Great selling skills – My selling skills have always been very good. I am motivated by results, and enjoy
engaging customers to understand their needs followed up by enticing them with right product.
Enthusiasm and passion get the results I am looking for, and I find it easy to close the sale. By the end of
the discussion, they have what they are looking for, happy and confident with their purchase, and I have
a bright relationship with a customer which usually means a return client. Also because I have this
kinship, I am generally able to do the “add on” sale as well.
