in which Universal stated that the rights to X was public
domain.
Needless to say, Nintendo won the case and it’s executives
were so grateful they created a character based on John Z,
a little
guy that uses his enemy’s powers against them.

Rapture, an intended-utopian city reduced to a dystopian city
due to civil war and politics.

announced it was considering a policy that issued fines to people
who dropped out of school or their parents. X, who dropped out
of school at age 13, would hypothetically be affected by this

and memes came flooding in from fans, colleagues and

X is a fictional creature in Lewis Carroll’s 1872
novel “Through the Looking Glass” and his
1874 poem The Hunting of the snark.
Although neither work describes X’s
appearance, in the above poem, it has a long
neck and snapping jaws. Both words describe
it as ferocious and extraordinarily fast stating
it is found in the world behind the looking
glass.

In an interview about Xs in the worlds of Tolkien and
Martin, recalling a fan’s email asking whether

Although X is easily one of the world’s most iconic paintings, its
permanent home is a convent in Milan, Italy. And moving it would
be tricky, to say the least. The painter painted the religious work
directly (and fittingly) on the dining hall wall of the Convent of
Santa Maria delle Grazie back in 1495.
Even though the painting itself was beloved, the painter’s
tempera-on-stone experiment was a failure. By the early 16th
century, the paint had started to flake and decay, and within 50
years, X was a ruin of its former glory. Early restoration attempts
only made it worse.
Vibrations from Allied bombings during World War II further
contributed to the painting's destruction. Finally, in 1980, a 19-
year restoration effort began. X was ultimately restored, but it lost
much of its original paint along the way.

During the Cold War, lots of people expected the US and the Soviet Union to
exchange nuclear missile strikes. They thought nuclear armageddon could
arrive any day.
So in the event of nuclear armageddon, one tip that was widely popularized,
was the Rule of Thumb.
The Rule of Thumb says if you extend your arm, and put your thumb over a
nuclear mushroom cloud, you can tell if you’re in danger from radiation. If your
thumb covers the entire cloud, you’re safe. If it doesn’t, you’re in danger and
need to take cover. This tip wasn’t necessarily true, but luckily nuclear war
never broke out and they never had to use it.
This led to X, the mascot of the Y universe adopting the rule in one of its most
iconic covers, which is often mistaken for a thumbs up.

• Alcohol flush reaction is a condition in which a person develops
flushes or blotches associated with erythema on the face, neck,
shoulders, and in some cases, the entire body after
consuming alcoholic beverages. The reaction is the result of an
accumulation of acetaldehyde, a metabolic byproduct of
the catabolic metabolism of alcohol, and is caused by an aldehyde
dehydrogenase 2 deficiency.
• This syndrome has been associated with an increased risk
of esophageal cancer in those who drink. It has also been
associated with lower than average rates of alcoholism, possibly
due to its association with adverse effects after drinking alcohol.
• Approximately 36% of East Asians (Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese,
and Koreans) show characteristic physiological responses to

The original X was not a printed document. It was entirely
handcrafted by the artists of Shantiniketan under the guidance
of Acharya Nandalal Bose, with the calligraphy texts done by
Prem Behari Narain Raizada in Delhi. This document is now
