RECENT GROUP PROJECTS
ENME371- DW 272 Redesign Project (Fall 2014)
-Investigated various issues with the DeWalt DW272 drywall screwdriver and proposed a
redesign of the clutching mechanism which would allow for normal operation in reverse without
having to apply pressure to the clutch.
-In particular, I was largely in charge of rendering the CAD drawings and made several key
design decisions.
ENME 400- Wood Lathe Design Project (Fall 2015)
-Used what we learned in class to design key components for a 3-speed wood lathe.
-Submitted a report that chronicled our design process and included all specifications for the
wood lathe including materials, dimensions, drawings, and analysis.
ENME 470- Finite Element Analysis Project (Fall 2015)
-Investigated different loading conditions for a rock-climbing carabiner and ways to simulate
exposure to various types of loading using finite elements.
-Completed finite element analysis using Creo Parametric and submitted a report on our
findings concerning our specific carabiner design.
SKILLS
Computer
-Proficient with CAD including Creo Parametric, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Pro-E.
