4. YET IT STILL FUNCTIONED!
It turned on, with no operating problems.
5. SHARDS EVERYWHERE
As I heated broken screen
(digitizer) for removal it came off
in little tiny pieces. Kept the
towel under it to catch glass
from falling on floor.
6. OPEN IPAD LIKE A BOOK
USE CASE OR SOMETHING TO HOLD DIGITIZER WHILE YOU
REMOVE THE OTHER (REAL) SCREEN. BE CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH THIS
SCREEN.
7. WI-FI ANTENNA
Besides cleaning all the little glass pieces this is the hardest part, plugging that little clip on the
board upside down.
8. ALL FIXED AND A HAPPY
FRIEND!
First time working on an iPad 2 and overall have to say
that it wasn’t too bad. Pressure was eased because of the
replacement I got prepared by FixCracked and purchased
on Amazon. It included a new bezel and Wi-Fi antenna,
which gets severed easily. In fact my friend said it seems
faster online, so I think maybe that the original was
possibly damaged in a earlier fall. Glad to help a friend,
retired teacher so budget is a concern, though I would
recommend this repair over replacement to anyone. The
following slide is my open box video of FixCracked
replacement screen for those who are interested.
Thank you,
