Employment History
Feb-08 – Jun-09 Westley Group is one of Europe's largest ferrous and non-ferrous foundry &
engineering groups.
I joined Westley in February 2009 primarily working Spunalloys focused mainly in the
marine sector. In the role of Business Development Executive I worked directly for the
sales director and was responsible for setting quarterly targets based on forecast sales,
historical data and customer knowledge. Working within a team of 4 people we were
individually responsible for our own customers, purchase orders, enquiries, prospects
and marketing.
I personally had several key customers for which I was responsible. Being their sole
point of contact I handled all issues to do with that customer – the biggest of which
contributed in excess of £3m to the business - ensuring that the account was up-to-date,
the order book was healthy and there were no ongoing problems.
I also attended trade shows in Hamburg (2008) and Oslo (2009) to liase with potential
new customers while greeting existing ones and ensuring they were happy with their
current level of service.
