22. Web3 Summit 2019: Questions from Gavin Wood to Snowden
So you can see this with, you know, Bitcoin allowing the hosting of information that would otherwise have
been placed on a survey written by a particular operating company that could have been taken.
So increasingly, software is moving its latest in its technology gets the unstoppable force, and it's going to
eventually go to its head against the immovable object, which is national governments and national laws,
and the establishment.
Something's gonna have to give either either the laws are going to change in the same way that copyright
law can have changed a bit with the advent of VCR, or things that we take for granted today. And by that I
basically mean writing software will become controlled and illegal imports.
And we already saw a taste of this right with crypto. In the 90s and early noughties, there was this notion of
you know, crypto being weaponized software, the US made it illegal to to allow other countries to download
stuff. Which way do you think it's gonna go?
23. Web3 Summit 2019: Questions from Gavin Wood to Snowden
Law will change?
Technology will change?
Which way do you think it’s gonna go?
24. Web3 Summit 2019: Snowden’s Answer
ThTe
The
Te laws will change, the technologies wil change. But the trend of
progress overtime, will be in favor of living right.
It’s very easy to look at the problems we have today, And give
up,go.The world sucks. Life sucks things are.
And Donald Trump is president
When you look over 50years,when you look over 100years,when
you look over 500years,we’re doing very well. And I think that wil
continue.
25. Web3 Summit 2019: Snowden’s Answer
History has proven that human do well
27. Web3 Summit 2019: Vlad「Web3 and The Rule of Law」
・The future of web3 in the Rule of Law is
indeterminate
・Laws is the principle that legal order reigns
over the Internet of Things.
・Being above the rule of law is not fit for
normative law
28. Web3 Summit 2019: Vlad「Web3 and The Rule of Law」
・Many legal thinkers are legal skeptics. You know, I put these
names up there,
because there were no legal skeptics, but there's many of us
we will fingers,
some of us in the audience, who, you know, are very
skeptical of the operation of legal systems.
And our and our, our main legal philosophies is driven by
skepticism
