Blessed Anne Jahouvey Kind and merciful girl Lives in Jallanges, France She was a daughter of a rich farmer. A very Religious girl so she entered several religious convents. She wanted to educate the poor. 1800 – she had a dream of black children so she decided to answer their needs through her vocation. She and 8 other young women were given the veil in Autun, France in 1807 The Congregation of Saint Joseph of Cluny was founded. She spends her time providing houses in Europe, South America, and Africa. In French Guyana, she educate 600 slaves. Founded houses in Tahiti and Madagascar to help poor people. She died on July 15, 1851 in Paris, France “Be Merciful, just as your Father is merciful” -Luke 6:36
