Facebook is the biggest social media site around,
with more than two billion people using it every
month. That’s almost a third of the world’s
population! There are more than 65 million
businesses using Facebook Pages and more than six
million advertisers actively promoting their business
on Facebook, which makes it a pretty safe bet if
you want to have a presence on social media.
Messenger used to be a messaging feature within
Facebook, and since 2011, Facebook has made
Messenger into a standalone app by itself and
greatly expanded on its features. Businesses can
now advertise, create chatbots, send newsletters,
and more on Messenger. These features have given
businesses a myriad of new ways to engage and
connect with their customers.

SocialMedia
Instagram is a photo and video sharing
social media app. It allows you to share a
wide range of content such as photos,
videos, Stories, and live videos. It has also
recently launched IGTV for longer-form
videos.
Twitter is a social media site for news,
entertainment, sports, politics, and more. What
makes Twitter different from most other social
media sites is that it has a strong emphasis on real-
time information — things that are happening right
now. For example, one of the defining moments in
the Twitter history is when Janis Krums tweeted the
image of a plane that landed in the Hudson River
when he was on the ferry to pick the passengers
up.
Instagram Twitter

platform to make Flash websites, MySpace
layouts and more. Using a browser-based
interface, you can choose from a wide
selection of design templates or start with a
blank canvas. Wix provides more than enough
tools to get the job done, with everything from
animation effects and photo albums to Google
maps and RSS feeds. You can also import
photos from Flickr and videos from YouTube
with only a few clicks.
Web pagecreation

a simple click and drag interface that

as easy to use as Webnode.

Medium – Best Traditional Blogging Site Blog
Medium is home to more than 60 million users. These
bloggers and content creators focus on crafting niche
content for readers to settle down and read.
LinkedIn – Best Blog Site for Business Blog
- LinkedIn is probably the most popular social
network for professionals of all stripes.
- They boast more than 590 million users, and 154
million of them in the US. And a lot of them are
active with 44% are monthly active users.
- LinkedIn used to be basically a resume hosting
platform. In a lot of ways, it was like a job-hunting
dating app: you’d go on if you were looking to hire
or looking to get hired but not much else. In the
last few years that has changed dramatically.
Instagram – Best Blog Site for Creatives Blog
- Instagram is primarily visual — the feed is all
the images or videos, and very little of the
captions. You can use the caption field for your
text, and users like a long caption. You’ll be
capped at 2,200 characters or about 300
words.
- Instagram is perfect if what you’re sharing is
visual: a lifestyle, art, dance. Or if there’s some
way to share it visually like in a how-to mini-
video.
WordPress with Bluehost Hosting – Best Blogging
Software for Flexibility Blog
- WordPress is the most popular website builders out
there.
- That’s because it’s highly flexible and powerful. No
matter what you want from your blog, it can be
done with WordPress.
- To build your own site, you’ll need to buy a domain
name, get web hosting, and set up your
WordPress account.
Wix – Best Website Builder for Blogging Blog
- Wix offers you beautiful templates for any type of blog. Easily
customize any web page with their drag-and-drop editor.
- The blog manager is also simple and intuitive, with analytics
and SEO built right in. It’s simple to add the basic features you
might want on your blog too: social tools, likes, comments,
hashtags, categories, and subscriber forms.
Google Maps
Google Maps celebrated its 10th birthday this month, and after 10 years,
Google is still the undisputed king when it comes to digital maps. According
to Nielsen, the Google Maps smartphone app sees an average of more
than 79 million unique users per month, and that's just the smartphone
app. There is also an official Google Maps desktop app, not to mention the
millions of third-party applications that use Google Maps APIs.
Mapping
Microsoft Bing Maps
Microsoft Bing Maps is a very popular mapping platform, although it has a
long way to go before reaching the immense popularity of Google Maps.
Microsoft is steadily working on adding new features and improvements to
the Bing Maps Platform. The company recently announced the addition of
new Streetside cities and high-resolution aerial imagery on Bing maps as
well as new 3-D cities on the Bing Maps Preview app.
Mapping
OpenLayers
OpenLayers is an open source JavaScript library that utilizes WebGL,
Canvas 2D and other HTML5 features for rendering maps in modern
Web browsers. OpenLayers is capable of pulling tiles from OpenStreetMap,
Bing, MapQuest, Stamen and many other mapping sources. OpenLayers is
also capable of rendering vector data from GeoJSON, TopoJSON, KML,
GML and other geographic data formats.
Mapping
Foursquare
The Foursquare API provides programmatic access to the
Foursquare places database, merchant platform and venues
service. Many developers use the Foursquare API to incorporate
the venues platform into their application, which is then used as the
app's location database.
Mapping
OpenStreetMap
OpenStreetMap is a project maintained by a large group of
volunteers that create and distribute geographic data for the world
for free. A lot of applications, such as Watercolor by Stamen,
HitchWiki and OpenWeatherMap, use OpenStreetMap data.

- When it comes to beginner-friendly music making
software, GarageBand is the number one free option.
It's easy to download from the Mac App Store, and it
teaches even beginner musicians how to use some
powerful tools.
- GarageBand also happens to be one of the easiest
platforms to make great music. It allows you to create
a song with up to 255 tracks and even offers a
virtual session drummer.
- An alternative for PC users, DarkWave Studio is a
free music production software that supports
Windows 7 or later. It doesn't need much storage,
which is perfect if you plan to use the free software
to make music on a laptop (the best laptops for
making music).
- Although while DarkWave Studio is free, there are a
few in-app ads you need to put up with.

- Unlike the software we already covered, Audacity is a
digital audio editor, not a digital audio workstation. Its main
purpose is manipulating audio data rather than helping you
organize different audio tracks into a coherent whole. You
can read more about the difference in our comparison of
Audacity and GarageBand.
- Audacity lets you edit samples, process audio files, and
export music as a wide range of formats, including MP3,
WAV, or AIFF. It's great if you're looking for free music
production software to put together beats and samples
for songs.
LMMS (which used to stand for Linux
MultiMedia Studio) is a cross-platform
music production software, available on
macOS, Windows, and Linux. It's suitable
for all kinds of music production and is a
great free software option for
beginners.
Audacity LMMS

Tracktion T7
Tracktion T7 was once a
premium music production
software. Rather than drop T7
when the next software came
out, Tracktion decided to give it
away completely free, making it
one of the most feature-packed
options on this list.
