1) Davis Wright Tremaine evolved its approach to innovation from small internal efforts to creating a dedicated innovation team called DWT De Novo to partner with clients and design new approaches to legal work. 2) One project involved partnering with Microsoft to map their legal processes, track turnaround times and costs savings, and continuously improve their approach to IP legal work. 3) DWT has developed tools like DWT InSight which uses data analytics and visualization to provide insights into legal spend and trends, and DWTConnect which provides clients transparency into financial and legal matter status through customized dashboards.
