The Palm Beach County Convention Center and Ovations Food Services are pleased to feature Mark Aleks as their Executive Chef.
Chef Aleks brings to the center a diverse fine dining background, along with an ability to create traditional comfort foods in a more
refined manner.
Originally from Norfolk, Virginia Chef Aleks made the move to West Palm Beach in 1999 when he was accepted into the American
Culinary Federation program sponsored by the much renowned Breakers Hotel. After completing his apprenticeship, he went on to
work in all of the hotels food venues including the Ocean Grill, the Seafood Bar and Flagler Steakhouse and most recently as Chef
at Phillips Point Club.
Chef Aleks was awarded the “2010 International Wine and Food Society of Palm Beach County”
Award for Chef/Restaurant of the Year as well as was the “Featured Chef” during the 2009 Flavor of Palm Beach. He looks forward
to creating unique and innovative food selections focusing on local and sustainable ingredients. Chef Aleks favorite quote “Strive for
Excellence” is something he and his staff work for every day.
