Personal statement
I have strong experience of supporting at director level as a PA/Business Manager in a number
of high profile companies. I have developed solid interpersonal skills through liaising with
relevant stakeholders including the Royal family’s household and high ranking officials at
Downing Street and have significant experience in communicating on behalf of directors to all
levels of the business. My degree in Business Studies has further developed my analytical and
logical approach to tasks which I have transferred to the workplace. Ability to work under
pressure, strong organisational skills, and highly numerate. Results focused, hard working,
meticulous and conscientious, with advanced IT skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point,
Internet and financial databases.
Career summary
2013-present BARCLAYS BANK PLC, Personal Assistant
One to one role to MD (CIO Europe, Head of Technology Risk, Interim Chief of Staff, and
Head of Transformation for Personal & Corporate Banking). As the MD holds four MD
roles there is extensive and complex diary management (including arranging meetings,
lunches, drinks/dinners, corporate events, restaurant reservations and booking meeting
rooms) as well as multiple time zones. Use initiative to anticipate and resolve any conflicts,
working with minimal guidance and supervision.
Oversee manager’s inbox which includes an average of 400 emails per day and action work
in his absence where appropriate.
Booking and co-ordinating complex national and international travel arrangements, ensuring
efficient use of time and minimal expenditure. Arranging visas to tight deadlines.
Attend internal meetings, take minutes and ensure actions are followed up accordingly.
Manage the numerous weekly/bi weekly/monthly team leadership meetings.
Dealing with personal and confidential matters.
Team working: including providing cover during sickness or holiday absence.
Where necessary, review and improve processes to ensure an optimal service is delivered,

Key achievements:
Continuing to maintain deadlines even while my managers’ role grew from two MD roles to

Managing team’s business planning, budgeting, invoicing, expenses and time recording.
Compile quality procedures policy, monthly performance indicator reporting using RAG
status and monthly risk management returns for senior management.
Creating and maintaining team intranet site. Responsible for ensuring legal content including
new/updated legislation and corporate governance is accurate and up to date.
Responsible for gathering, compiling and analysing information to disseminate to the Public
Audit Forum for benchmarking in order to scale against external bodies and quantify value
for money.
Assisting with the organisation’s governance framework by way of using the in-house
template, formatting, proof reading and uploading onto the intranet.
Additional responsibility as Information Asset Manager to manage the team’s information
assets in line with in-house security policies and legislation including providing security
guidance to the team and resolving issues.
One to one PA role to Commission Solicitor, duties include diary management, shorthand

gatekeeper. Managing the legal case management files for the legal team. Use of Meridio
(file sharing software) and internal templates.
Key achievements:
Managing the team budget of £800k pa which includes forecasting, ensuring within the confines of
the budget, identifying saving opportunities and business planning. I created and implemented a
method for financial inputting, saving the company time (312 hours pa) and money.
Selected to lead on the team’s office move due to my strong organisational and
communication skills, and administered paper based system to a paperless case system.
