Start Up/ Novel fully integrated agri-industrial concept for functional and natural food Argentina/ Paraguay
COFCO/ NIDERA ADQUISITION. Cofco-HSBC New York Advisory on the seed business Argentina-Brazil
and 2025 seed business projection.
Launched new seed business, successfully penetrating highly-competitive market. Recruited to Illinois SA to
launch new brand. Developed special commercial channel to align with image and pricing. Negotiated long term
licensing agreement with Monsanto. Penetrated 5% of market, generating $15M annually with 25% IRR.
Turned struggling operation into top corn producer in Uruguay. Cosechas de Uruguay SA farming operation
was unproductive. Incorporated new business culture with multicultural team and totally new business concept.
Turned 10K hectare pasture into 40K hectare operation exceeding national average crop yield.
Joint venture takes pre-port operation to sector leadership position. Cereales de Uruguay had its own pre-
port facility. Negotiated JV with largest trading company and built new facility to handle third party production. Took
100% control and expanded storage capacity, becoming service leader in major agricultural export shore.
Spearheaded seed business expansion into Brazilian market. Nidera SA 2004-2005. The company sought to
expand regionally into Brazil. Operation purchased was very poor and unsuccessful. Introduced new work culture
and production, QA, inventory management and operating concepts. Appointed COO for Brazil.
Boost in product quality yields significant inventory cost reduction. Nidera SA operations had QA and sales
growth issues. Developed QA standards and procedures for every manufacturing step. Built and trained team,
introducing self-responsibility.. Dramatically reduced inventory costs by raising the quality from 75% to 97%.
Reengineered manufacturing process, reducing costs 35%. Assumed responsibility for administration as well
as manufacturing operation at Nidera SA. Discovered inefficiencies on both sides. Restructured team to be more
knowledgeable and highly motivated, yielding more consistency an accuracy in every process.

operation.
COO/VP, Illinois SA, 2005-2013. COO for three Argentina and Uruguay business units (Illinois SA, Cosechas de
Uruguay, SA, and President in Cereales de Uruguay, SA). Argentina - trading 100K MT corn Seed, selling over
100K corn bags, Soybean and Canola seeds. 4% MKS on corn. Cosechas - managed 40K+ hectares for export.
Cereales - pre-port facility, 80K MT capacity facility providing third party services to Dreyfus, Cargill ADM, etc.
Budget $30M.
General Production & Manufacture Manager, Nidera SA, 1996-2005. Directed entire seed farming production
operation (40K hectares, three major facilities, 35 small contracted facilities). Also took responsibility for Brazilian
operation (former Bayer seeds company) Managed $25M budget and 180 staff.
Branch Manager, Nidera SA, 1993-1995. Administrated the branch interacting with production, R&D biotechnology
Q.A and foundation. Managed facility incorporating automation and equivalent seed industry ISO9000 standards.
Production Lead, Nidera SA, 1991-1993. Western area production manager with total seed sunflower production
responsibilities plus soybean seed production.
Field Representative, Nidera S.A, 1988-1992. Managed daily seed production operations and a team of four
