1. Edward Michael "Bear" Grylls is a British adventurer. He travels all around the world and
survivesinsome of the most dangerous places of the world. From an early age, he learned to
climbandsail withhisfather.As a teenager, he learned to skydive and earned a second black
belt in Shotokan karate. He speaks English, Spanish, and French.
In his career Bear Grylls do lots of dangerous expeditions, like crossing the North Atlantic,
paramotoringoverthe Himalayas orgoingon a journey to the Antarctica. He also participated
in lots of survival programmes, like “Man vs Wild”, where he teaches survival techniques.
One of his most important achievements was climbing the Everest. On 16th
May 1998, Grylls
achievedhischildhooddreamof climbingtothe summitof Mount EverestinNepal,18 months
after breaking three vertebrae in a parachuting accident. At 23, he was among the youngest
people to have achieved this feat.
