Mobile Q&A
[Marcus] In response to your feedback following our last community call where you asked to learn more about Delve, we have Microsoft MVP Chris Gecks calling in all the way from Australia and he will share some tips & tricks for using Delve.
Chris, thank you so much we really appreciate you presenting. Before you jump in would you mind telling a little bit about yourself and what a Microsoft MVP is?
Key Points:
The big data available in organization’s communication and collaboration systems enable new opportunities for companies to really understand how they work
Understanding the building blocks on how work gets done – communication and collaboration – organization analytics creates a source of innovation and competitive advantage for individuals and organizations
Talk Track:
The thousands of decisions that each individual employee in an organization make’s each day add up to a tremendous impact on the success or failure of an organization
We know that our most scarce resource is time, and when we make decisions on how to use our time we are literally choosing where to spend the capital of our organizations that is committed to growing value for shareholders and ownership
Now with the power of big data, we have a massive opportunity to understand how organizations work, and to optimize processes, activities, and interactions for the highest impact
Consider the concept of the useless meeting – can anyone here relate to that?
Well – what if I told you that in the US alone, businesses are estimated to waste $37B per year on useless meetings.. Do you see this in your organization?
We are very excited to provide the capabilities to shine a light on internal time sucks that not only cost the company real money, but drag down morale, reduce employee engagement and increase costs across the board
Key Points:
Now using behavioral data, combined with existing data sets around sales effectiveness, worker health or other customer specific data, we can identify meaningful trends that directly tie to the bottom line
Wouldn’t you like to know what characteristics your most successful sales people have – in terms of how they spend their time, what percentage is focused on internal vs external meetings, etc so that you can replicate these characteristics across your organization and enable a higher percentage of your sales team to achieve high attainment of their goals
Talk Track:
Use anonymized and aggregated behavioral analytics, business have started to uncover some very interesting trends
The power of this capability is when it is harnessed in the context of a business or strategic initiative and leadership is seeking to solve a particular business problem
There are myriad potential applications for the technology and we are just at the tip of the ice berg in the potential that org analytics has for organizations large and small
Key Points:
Your competitor and peers are investing in big data to drive business outcomes
Expectations for the power of big data are enormous – almost 90% of business expect it to revolutionize business in the same way the internet did – let’s think about that, the internet – it has obviously changed a great number of business operations
Talk Track:
The tide is turning towards big data and personalized insights to drive meaningful changes in how we operate as individuals and organizations
With organization analytics you are able to connect actions to results in very meaningful ways
What would you say If I told you that your own organization’s data held the key to higher revenues, increased customer satisfaction, reduced attrition, higher employee engagement, and ultimately profits?
The potential is there, and we are bringing these capabilities to Office 365 in very meaningful ways
Personal Work Analytics
Team analytics dashboards
Aggregated and anonymous data about team’s of a certain size can help managers understand important aspects about the team is executing.
Analytics Platform & API
Pursue industry or initiative specific analysis with the analytics platform and API component of the offer.
Leverage aggregated and anonymized data to pursue specific business questions such as:
What are the behavioral characteristics of my most successful sales people?
Where are there silos within my organization that are hampering progress?
What behavioral characteristics are shared amongst top performers that leave the organization?
Demo the capability
