Company Summary
Our client is a well-established communications and
collaboration specialist, and the partner of choice for over
4,000 global corporations and customers, including many
of the UK FTSE 500 companies.
Requirement
Our client had a requirement to build a highly resilient and
optimized network infrastructure for Microsoft Skype to
provide its customers a cloud-based Skype-As-A-Service.
The key requirement was to design and implement a
highly secure and robust Application Delivery
Infrastructure (ADI) with the ability to scale on demand
in-line with service growth and protect the Skype platform
against Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) and
DDoS attacks.
Solution
AMPS GLOBAL was selected to design and implement the
solution because of our combined expertise in Cisco
routing and switching and our in-depth knowledge of F5
technologies including LTM and AFM. The solution was
based on the F5 physical platform combining load
balancing and security. The overall solution provided an
ADI that was secure, highly resilient, and scalable to
support on demand growth whilst protecting services
against APT and DDoS attacks.
Business Benefits
• Scalable platform to react to changing markets dynamics
• Stronger protection against DDoS attacks
